He was just at the open patio door talking to something. I tried to record him but he stopped. He has such a sweet voice. It is a joy to hear him talk. He is in second heaven now that the windows and doors are open. He can see and hear lots of activity outdoors. He drools when he sees something (this I do NOT like - he is messing up his bib!) and sometimes his mouth chatters too.

Theodore meows at the bugs, the grass moving in the wind. He goes from window to window now to look outside. He LOVES having the doors and windows open. Really his first year seeing things outside. Such a joy to watch him make new discoveries.

There are not many things in life that give me more pleasure that watching kittens grow and explore from birth till one year of age. If a person is fortunate enough to have two or more at the same time, it's like watching a bunch of little clowns performing. A small house is a big, big world to them.

I just posted another video of him upset about losing a bug. LOL It had landed on the window screen. He sure can talk!

Such good TV for Theo.

I'm sure bunny is happy for the screen. But you do have a lovely film of bunny hopping away while Theo's tail taps in time to the hops.

That bunny seems to feel comfy in the yard even if he sees me in the window. Last night just before dark I watched the bunny roll around in the grass playfully. Theo sat and watched too. I hope he stays safe. There are hawks and coyotes here as well as red fox.

I dont know if you let Theodore outside, but:

Deer bring ticks and rabbits bring fox and coyotes.

Thats what happened in our yard.

No, Theodore never goes outdoors and never will. I may get a mesh pen sort of thing for him to be put on the deck (with me always there to watch him) but never just open the door and let him out! He has such a fluffy coat, it would be a nightmare keeping it clean and would be a flea magnet. Way too many bad things outdoors here. I am surrounded by woods and live 10 miles from the nearest small town (boonies).

maybe you could make bunny a little safe house near Theo's window, something big enough for him to go inside, with a wall separating the front door from the back of the house so he could go into the 'back room' if something chased him inside. It would need to be short and long so a coyote couldn't reach him behind his wall in the back room.

Hawks are just scary and perhaps fate.

I scared the bunny when I mowed today. He was under the porch and hopped into the woods. He will be back. Theodore is trying to get bugs that land on the outside of the screen. I have to keep an eye on him so he doesn't rip the screen! :eek2:
His adult coat is still growing in now as he sheds his his baby coat. He is starting to look GORGEOUS!

maybe you could bring a few of the less obnoxious bugs inside for him.
Every once in a while a bug does get in. He is right on it. But, I think (I hope) he has learned what a wasp looks like. He has been stung two times now before I found them. The last one that got in he simply sat and watched it (I killed it).

that he watched and didn't attack it means, he knows that thing is hot. Good Theo, he's a smart little darlin'

What did you give him when he got stung? We have wasps here too.

I didn't have anything I dared give him or put on it. He was pretty upset by it so I doubt I could. It just had to pass. It only took a few minutes. I calmed him and told him they are BAD bugs!
The last one he saw he did not try to sniff. Maybe he knows.

More wildlife. This morning Theo saw a momma turkey with her chicks in the yard. She took her babies away when she saw him.
