Supper isn't sounding so good right now...HOWEVER, since I have a cast-iron stomach (I once ate strawberry shortcake while observing an autopsy), I'll get over it.

It's a stormy afternoon and evening here, so I think I'll just heat up a can of chicken and rice soup, and have it with crackers. That sounds cozy to me.
Stormy weather and soup were made for one another. Bonus points if a cat or 12 joins you and you have a good book or movie on hand.
I once sat down to a plate of Chinese (rice) 30 minutes after cleaning up a large bin full of the common house fly's little bundles of joy. It went down OK, but it wasn't easy. (And by "it" I mean the rice, not the bundles of joy)

I still like Kraft Miracle Whip.
I like Miracle Whip in macaroni salad.

Blue Plate and Duke's are good if you can find them.
Thanks, I'll see if my Walmart has them. :)

stuffing, for you Yanks
Yes, we call it stuffing in NY, usually Stove Top Stuffing out of a box.

If I put those taters in the oven and they come out with 8 stems a piece, I'm heading for the hills
Extra protein! :D

Were you an undertaker? :eek2:

We had Gnocchi with Alfredo Sauce, Yellow Squash, Red Bell Peppers, and Onions. It was pretty good. :yummy:

Holy Moly. We have leftovers for all, us and animal. For humans the choices are beef and chicken, vegetables are a mix n match combination of broccoli, green beans, zucchini, carrots, and onion if you're frisky.
The dogs and cats are sharing several beef heart, a meager pound of ground turkey, chicken livers, and chicken frames or wings and some ground duck. Don't you love "clean sweep the fridge and get rid of this food before it grows stems like that unfortunate potato" nights? :lol2:
I was telling a friend that we had some tea that expired in 2017 and it was great. I wouldn't trust meat that hasn't been frozen since 2017 though :flail:

There is always a cat, and a good book or movie...sometimes a cat, a good book AND a movie!

LOL, mine will be cornbread dressing, made from scratch. I'm thawing the buttermilk for the cornbread right now. The loaf bread is set out to get properly stale for tomorrow's baking.

But for tonight, I think scrambled eggs and either biscuits or toast, depending on how much I feel like dealing with at the time.

I'm making Shake and Bake chicken in the oven. I'll put some sweet potato puffs in halfway through. Those don't take as long as the bone in chicken to cook.

Pork chops smothered in onions, vegetable rice, and a chilled carrot salad. With applesauce brownies for dessert.

(I forgot to add the sugar to my applesauce brownies. Everything was fine when I put the batter into the greased pan. I always do a bit of a taste and it tasted fine; it wasn't "off". I checked during the baking time, though, and thought they weren't rising well. I went back through, trying to figure out what I did wrong and that's when I realized that I never put any sugar into the batter. Well, dang. But you know what? They're really good! They didn't rise all that well at all. But even Rick said they're moist and they're not bad at all. I sprinkled them with a bit of confectioners' sugar, so all is not lost. I made another pan to take to work tomorrow morning and I remembered to add the sugar. But seriously, if I wanted a little something that I could get away with not adding sugar, I'd now pick this recipe.)

There's a lot of stuff we omit the sugar all together (if it's just for us) if the recipe has something naturally sweet like applesauce in it. Sometimes an "oops" baking mistake turns into something pretty good
We bake a simple, sugar-less sugar cookie (really more like a biscuit) but we make a glaze from confectioners sugar, vanilla extract and milk. It makes them sweet, but not too sweet.

My wife made some wraps earlier, they took about 2 minutes, and were really good. I could have eaten 10 but I settled for 2 and some chips. When the question of dinner came up I suggested wraps. Her response was ".......:rolleyes3: we had them 5 hours ago."
Hey, at least they're healthy :dunno:

 I'mhungry

Is that French Dressing? I love Ken's Country French. I've had those Gardein strips before, they are really good with hot sauce on them. :yummy:
Yes French Dressing. And don't even ask what brand. ;)
yes, Kraft. :paperbag: It was on sale
I really like the Gardein strips. They're one of the few fake meats I like.

Last night I had filet mignon, fried potatoes, salad, and two pieces of my nephew's birthday cake. Didn't feel well enough to attend so David brought my dinner to me. The filet was 1/2 pound and I didn't even eat half of it. I think I'll add some of it to my salad.

I'll have that for lunch, then a chicken and pepper-jack cheese sandwich for dinner with green beans, and ice cream for dessert. There is a sale at Giant Eagle on 14 ounce containers of Haagen Dazs, 4@ $10.00.

Some of you have made me hungry for chocolate pudding.

I like Kraft too. I buy a lot of their products, no shame in that.

ice cream for dessert.
What flavor did you get? I'm really picky about my ice cream, it has to be exciting.:)

marinated artichoke
I love artichokes on salad. :yummy:

I have an icky tummy. I should go lie down soon.
Feel better soon! :hugs:

As for me, I had gluten-free penne for dinner that tasted like poisoned cardboard. :headshake:
