Absolutely! Sometimes the vets are slow to get on board, but very glad they did in this case because while there are those who won't believe us, they do believe the vets.Ongoing prayers for Tom and Harry! I have FIV+ 4 year olds in my home colony whoive among some elders who are 11-13+ who are still thriving; they share shelters and food dishes and quarry. I am very glad that others are accepting that FIV+ and non-FIV kitties can live together without disaster.
My friend said it was probably a waste of money. She thinks the special food is helping and she has some supplements to try. He seems healthy and acts fine other than pooping everywhere.
I hope and pray that the pooping eases up and that either a rescue or, better yet, a loving home is found 
I received $110.00 in donations, so I was able to get two carriers. And there is a lady who has one in her garage that she will donate. So that will take care of the three kitties going to Ohio. They just put up the page for drivers to volunteer and the trip is on the 18th, so not much time for people to sign up. But they got them just in the nick of time for the last trip, so I am trusting they can do it again.

I found a rescue to take Harry to in Austin, so I am filling out an application to get him transported right now. So he will need a carrier for that trip.
I have some sad news. After we found out Harry and Tom would not be going to Ohio, because they were FIV+, my friend put them in cat condo's outside her house to keep them safe until we could find a place to take them. Tom escaped from his condo and has been missing for four days. Her house is not far from my apartment, so he may find his way home. The poor guy must be very scared.
Yes, that's what I am hoping. He is a smart kitty. There was a bad storm last night, I hope he found shelter.

OH NO! But he's smart, and has been looking out for himself for a long time, and cats are masters at finding shelter from even the worst storms. ALL of our ferals showed back up after Florence came through here, even the kittens.Tom escaped from his condo and has been missing for four days. I am hoping he is still hanging around her house. She has a big colony. He's pretty easy going and get's along well with other cats.
The plan is now for my friend to drive him at the end of this month, so that will make things a lot easier, and no special carrier will be needed.
