...with the cats...
yesterday i got quite a bit of firewood stacked, focusing on clearing the driveway enough that i could get the lawn tractor through. i stopped stacking once i could get the lawn tracor through, then mowed the lawn. after that, i stacked firewood for another 2+ hours. i've got about half the pile (of 10 face cords hardwood), 'give or take', stacked now. :yess:

I love the names Kiwi & Mango! :lovecat:

The Vincie Girl and Big Cal both slept with me last night!
Both together in the same bed? That is progress. :happycat:

I met a teacher I worked with for many years today.
Did you have a nice lunch together? :bluebutterfly:

I had a fabulous trip to South Dakota, including seeing two barely-hours-old antelope babies in the wild
That sounds like a fun trip. Did you get a pic of the baby antelope? :camera:

My positive for today is I bought a huge jar of pickled jalapeno slices & I've been putting them on everything. I did have to break out the Tums, but it was so worth it. :yummy:

My positive? I got to watch my boy tease a crow by running after it until he got 10 feet away from the bird and ran out of leash so he was jerked to a hard stop in his harness... at which point the crow slowly flew up onto the roof and mocked him  I found it funny. I love my boy and am proud of him when he catches flying bugs; but I was relieved he did not catch the crow. Plus I love birds.

I have new neighbors on the other side of the duplex and they are very nice. They have two little boys, kitties.

Vincie is still cuddling with me and she's allowed Callie to also cuddle. I think Callie is now jealous because for years it's only been her, Kirsten before she went to the bridge, and me. Since it's been warm she's been sitting on my lap on the deck in the morning, but wowza, my girl is heavy.

I love watching out for wildlife on our morning walks. Unfortunately, I had to zoom to get him, but if you look at the middle of the photo, you can see two very long ears sticking up: Mr. Jackrabbit keeping his eyes and ears on us!

And then this deer ambled into the picture. Mr Jackrabbit, realizing we weren’t a threat, had gone back to munching grass. :bunny:

Speaking of, here's a friend I made in the manager's office which is in the Poker Alice House at the Sturgis Motel , and what I think is a whitetail doe (such a cute little face) and a Dahl Sheep.

Fun Fact; South Dakota just recently arranged a swap of wild turkeys, (a total of 29 birds was originally imported from New Mexico in 1948, 1950 and 1951 and now there is a large population in both the Black Hills where I was this past weekend, and on the South Dakota Plains), with Canada for Dahl Sheep. The locals think the Sheep are a bit ugly LOL.
