I am having the hardest time getting my cat to eat any type of wet food that isn't Inaba Churu treats, which are mostly pureed tuna. I've been timing her meals and trying very slowly to get her to eat wet food, but my most successful attempt involved her licking all her Inaba treat off a tiny dollop of Wellness wet food. I used to feed her Tiki Cat salmon mousse, but she's gotten so sick of that she just walks away from it.

Right now I'm popping Purina Muse Creatables into my Chewy cart, which are just soupy gravy pouches. I know Hartz makes Delectables gravy also, but I'm not sure I trust the brand. I also plan on picking up Tiki Cat's tuna & mackeral mousse, along with their meat puree cat treats.

Is there anything else I could try?

I've heard that Halo Spot's Stew are pretty much liquid. Maybe give that a try.

A lot of the Weruva foods in gravy are pretty liquidy.

What about Fancy Feast Gravy Lovers or Broths? Sheba has a broth food.

There isn’t. I’m having the same with a senior cat that needs a diet change. Pureeing it yourself is the best

I also use the muse line. Works well I mix it in whatever pate I have to turn I to a milkshake.

You can find a lot of soups and broths for cats on Chewy.com. I did a shop involving looking at the chewy.com site for these items last week. I usually compare the prices against Amazon for a better bargain. I had no idea there were soups and broths.

I would try Weruva Slide n Serve pates. Halo doesn't seem like what they are describing.

If you really want more soup/broth stuff then Caru works well, but the pricing is on the high end.

Weruva Weruva Slide N’ Serve Paté cat food Variety Pack: The Brat Pack
Caru Caru Pet Food Classics Stew for your cats

We'll be migrating the site to new hosting very soon and the SSL will be there
You should be able to click on the tag REVIEW to the right to sift through and see what other foods we've done, if you're curious.

Most of these aren’t complete and balanced. I’ve been looking for months. Now I just make it using mostly muse stuff.

The slip slides aren’t soupy though. So still could be a textures issue.

Weruva's BFF line, Oh My Gravy, the pouch foods are very soupy with finely ground minced meat, also Weruva stews, although they do contain fish (salmon) in addition to other proteins, e.g., Stew's Clues - very soupy, small bits of meat minced.

Weruva's Soulistic line, the "gravy" recipes are similar to BFF's OMG line although fish is included in the food, however, Soulistic has a few non fish recipes.

Also, Rawz occasionally has very soupy textures although it's hit or miss: I've used their turkey pate and some batches are soupier than others.

The Rawz Turkey and liver pate and an immersion blender = turkey gravy. No kidding, it ends up with the consistency of a thick gravy. I think that a lot of the softer pates or the pates with a lot of gel or liquid in the can would end up that way. But I've only tried it with the Rawz.

The brand Core has a Smooth variety that is like a thick paste that could easily be thinned to gravy consistency with water. It is reasonably priced and about 12% protein, 78% moisture per can.

Further on this point: lots of foods can be run through a mini food processor with additional water to make a gravy- our soup-like food. Not all foods work well in all processors but it's very easy and once you find what works, it's a great way to make food for a picky cat.

FWIW, I have a Cuisinart Mini-Prep, one of the DLC models, I think. (I've had it for years!) It works well on a lot of cat foods though didn't do well with Weruva's Steak Frites: I think the beef was just a bit too stringy for it!

One other thing about buying soupy or “Gravy” cat foods is that when you choose these over a Pate you are getting less food and more water in the can. So nutrition wise better to thin it out at home than to buy it that way.

My cats both hated Shreds put through the blender. Maybe I'll try it with Pate.

Yes, shreds can be risky! I found that Weruva's Fowl Ball shreds processed quite nicely but the afore-mentioned Steak Frites was a disaster. The most successful foods were pates and what I think of as fake shreds, like Merrick's Cowboy Cookout, which isn't natural shreds but some sort of glop that's made into shred- or slice-like pieces.

P.S. I suspect every processor is different, though! And of course every cat has its own food-related quirks!
