Has anyone ever heard of Feline Eye-lid Agenesis. Thank you Jo x

Yes. One of my cats has it. It's on the right eye, lower eyelid. But his is pretty mild. Not like the pictures you would see when you Google it. Why do you ask?

We have two babies born with their eyes open 6 weeks ago. They have just been Diagnosed with upper eyelid Agenesis. They both have perfect site & they are normal happy playful kittens. They have been seen by my vets & are udder a very close watch by a specialist. We have been told they will both need surgery at the age of about six/eight months. Just asking if anyone knows more about this condition and surgery involved or even had to go through this? We have done a lot of research. Was just seeing if anyone could share anymore on this. Thanks Jo x

If their eyelid genesis is pretty severe then the surgery is a good option. Or else they'll develop ulcers in the eye. It's not always 100% fixed up after the first surgery either.
