As I was changing Tom's litter I noticed his poops look like example number 6.is this normal or should I be concerned. About a week ago my husband gave him regular milk () and since then his stools were soft but not like today. What do I do I'm freaking out.... Fecal-Score-Chart-499x600.jpg

It could well be the milk that has upset him. Try giving some plain pumpkin with no additives, mix about a teaspoon of it in his food. Or you could add a pinch of psyllium into his food twice a day. Either should help.

Could I give feed him pumpkin directly in a spoon to him or just mix it with food

Definitely no cow milk! Cats are lactose intolerant. Something like goats milk would be much better. He probably needs some time to get his tummy back in order. The users above made good suggestions.

He sent me a picture while I was at work saying they were eating breakfast together all excited when I noticed he was drinking milk I nearly had a heart attack I know their tummies are delicate especially at 2 months old. And today I gave him wet food for the first time so I guess I made things worst now ugh

Not a problem. Cooked to a soft pulp but dont add any salt or anything else. Mash it like mashed/ creamed potato. It can be frozen for future use.

The kitten I have had diarrhea last night in his litter box. It looked like #7. This morning was the same. He’s playing and eating normally but it makes me worry he may have a parasite that could be passed on to my 2 dogs. He was tested and dewormed on May 17, but I’ll be calling the vet when they open today. I haven’t changed his food. Does anyone have any clue as to why he might have acute diarrhea?

Because the circumstances are different to this thread starter, it would be better to start your own thread under Cat Health. This way you could get more specific answers. Are you ok with that?
