Dolly ate 2 times times this morning, but just wants to sleep tonight.... am I trying to push to much on her to soon where she just got home? I showed you a picture of my beautiful baby pre-vet hospital for animals STAY ALL week. Here's my baby girl now. I'm seriously pissed off... I think ALL that they did was ivs ALL week and food when I was there...

it's really hard to know what's "too much" for a cat who's been in the hospital for a week, especially since we don't really know what she was there for (diagnosis). Did you get any instructions upon release? I would imagine she would be a little tired, because that hospital stay had to be traumatic for her, aside from whatever was happening health wise, poor girl. But if she's acting anyway other than a little tired, or other than what her release documents say might happen, then I would get her checked out by another Vet to figure out what might be going on.

Upon release they said here is your baby and some steroids to give to her 1x every single night until gone. They should make her eat more and drink water more . And pee more often. That's it. And a 340.00 bill.

We tried to but they were more worried about closing on time than answering me,my mom and son's questions about everything that they did and what all went on. We all agreed when we left and got back home with her, she's never going to be going back THERE again ever.

You and your mom can still demand that they give you copies of her records. Do it there. If they say they'll send them to the new vet, at best you'll just get the record of her vaccinations, at worse you'll get the record of some other cat's vaccinations. I'd definitely look over the records they copy for you. You may have to pay a fee $5-10 for the copying. You have a right to her records. I suggest you and your mother (she has more clout than you do) go in the morning rather than the afternoon. Right after they open if you can.

How is Dolly doing today? Does she seem to be feeling a little better? Is she still eating and drinking ok?

Why is it so hard to find a good vet for a older cat? I am so disappointed in these guys, they are excellent with our dogs and one is 13 years old but they treated dolly like crap. So I'm finding my mini schnauzer a new vet to. If my 73 years old mom wants to keep on going for her dogs there she can. I was in between paydays when things happened with dolly so my mom paid for it for me.

I am sorry you have to deal with awful vets. How is Dolly?
She's doing ok today, she's ate good 2x so far today and drank really good. But she's catching up on a a lot of sleep on our bed that is really soft and comfortable for her to be able to rest on. My son said that she probably just did not rest well while she was at vet's who didn't have her on a 14in foam mattress. Lol. He might be right.

Dolly is eating with her mini schnauzer brother both of them on the bed together with their food separate by a pillow in between like always. This makes me feel a little better. Have a great night every one.

It's encouraging that she's eating willingly. Our cat has been on medical board for a few nights before and he always comes home and sleeps more, I think just the change in routine ad sounds, smells, noises (barking dogs etc) keep him on edge a little. Once he's home, he can relax. There's no place like home, as Dorothy once said.

I just weighed Dolly tonight and since I brought her home from the hospital Monday night to today she had gained 1 pound in the short time I have had my baby girl home. I'm feeding her 4x mini meals a day so she can get use to food NOT ivs. She's drinking water good and continues to want to sleep between me and her mini schnauzer brother Clancy on the bed at the top of the bed instead of her old perfed spot at my feet or knees for the last 16 years 6 months. We don't mind, not at all. Clancy is in protecting mode when others come in the room to see her in the middle of the night ,like my son and his dog who's really gentle but is a great Pyrenees. Clancy knows that they won't hurt Dolly though . So he just watches like a supervisor. Lol. It's so beautiful to watch him properly love and protect a sibling just like a human would. That's our update today. Much love to you and your family members.

This is good news. Feeding her small meals is a good way to get her weight back up.
We have a dog here that crawled into Baby Girl's little pen when she was sick and just layed with her. Like your Clancy he just watched to make sure no one bothered her. It is really very neat to see them doing this type of thing.
Great Pyrenees are a really nice breed we've enjoyed. Very loving towards anything they think is their own but Clancy is right to be on top of things, just in case. Give that little dog of yours a treat

He's been getting lean jerky treats for dogs for a special treat for being so awesome. I have to watch what he eats to... never a boring moment here. He was diagnosed with pancreatitis so he's on a special diet. I think that's what made him and Dolly bond so much.
