I asked about the carrageenan and they responded:

Dear Laura,

Thank you for contacting CRAVE™.

Pets are our family members - we love them just as much as you do. Since the health and well-being of our pets is our #1 priority, we design our pet foods to be safe, nutritious and enjoyable.

We understand the confusion that may come with unfamiliar ingredients such as carrageenan. What most people don't know, is that carrageenan comes in two forms - un-degraded and degraded. Some of the negative myths that surround the ingredient are only relevant to degraded carrageenan, which is something we simply do not use in any of our products.

Un-degraded carrageenan, however, is an ingredient we do use because of its ability to stabilize and thicken gravies in our wet pet foods.

Our products not only meet or exceed required government standards for food quality and safety...but we also apply our own high Mars standards to make sure we never serve anything to your pet that we wouldn't serve to our own.

Regardless, we understand your concern and wanted to let you know that while our CRAVE™ Patés contain carrageenan, our CRAVE™ Cuts in Gravy products do not.

I hope this helps!

We'd love for you to help us get better by taking a 5 question survey at The Mars Petcare Consumer Engagement Team would love your feedback!.

If there is anything else we can do for you, please do not hesitate to let us know.

Sincerely,

I will ask them about the dry matter in their cuts in gravy. I just noticed it has xanthan gum so that I will not buy.

I went a little crazy and bought a bunch of Crave pates when Chewy had an awesome BOGO. We are FINALLY at the end of six (:paperbag:) boxes of it. I too was worried about the carrageenan (really the only ingredient I worry about/monitor) so this is great news! Thanks for sharing!

So it is high in carbs. I will skip that one. Pate will be in my rotation so it won't be every day

That is a little high -- tapioca really raises the carb numbers! Those numbers are similar to some of Weruva and Soulistic's pouch foods.
