I have an 11 month old and about 5-6 hours ago she gave birth to a litter of three. Only one survived and he’s plump and active and seems to be healthy but I’m worried about both of them. She’s been panting for the past few hours and I can’t get her to a vet till Friday. I just need as much helpful advice and tips as possible so I can make sure they both get through this as healthy and smooth as possible. I have her on KRM and he’s been feeding since he came out she’s doing great as a mother and she doesn’t seem stressed at all. I’ve been laying by her side for 30 mins every hour since she had them. Unfortunately I was at school during her giving birth so I don’t know if all the placentas came out or if she possibly has any still in her. I watched her eat one of them that was in her kitty nest but idk about the other two. She’s also really gassy and I’m not sure if that normal or what. But she’s perfectly normal as far as behavior she’s grooming herself and him as a normal mother would. Is there anything I can do to make her process better and more stress free until I can get her and baby Armor to the vet?

It's not good if she has been panting for a few hours. After 30 minutes of panting is when it is advised to call the vet. (See this article: Help! My Cat Is Having Kittens!). Is there an emergency vet within driving distance that you could take her to? At least, call over there, to see what they say, and if they think she needs to be brought in.

With any luck it may be the normal afterpains.
