I try my hardest. :D

Me too. I finally found a good cereal that's not too sweet. Kashi Fruitful.

I'll have to tell my mom about those. The gluten-free ones she buys taste like poison.

I love Cracker Barrel! Did they have any other vegetarian options?
They had 17 vegetarian options at Cracker Barrel. For a list you can to their web site. I also love Cracker Barrel. Their is not many places I can go to around here.

Last night, Hekitty insisted that she MUST HAVE tuna soup, so I had tuna salad sandwiches. Yes, she insisted. When she wants tuna soup, she sits in front of the fridge and yowls.

Tonight, I'm getting ambitious and making Chicken in a Dark and Mysterious Sauce, from "The Cat Who Cookbook."
No one dares to refuse the queen what she wants. She and Lilith may as well have been separated at birth. My little queen also hollers when she wants something.

Last night I had a ham & cheese sandwich and some Wendy's nuggets. No idea what tonight will bring.

Not sure what I'm having, but I need to use up some green pepper, plus I have some mushrooms. Sounds like pizza, but I don't think I have any mozzarella cheese, or if I do it's pretty old and has probably gone moldy. :( So I'll probably make something with pasta.

Grilled pork chops, grilled chunks of fresh pineapple, twice-baked potatoes, a Caesar salad with grilled romaine, and a slice of peach pie (the last peach pie from last year) with a scoop of French vanilla ice cream for dessert. (If we get t-storms around dinner time, I'll have to do everything on the indoor grill; I'm hoping for good weather. We may even eat early to try to avoid the t-storms.)

I pulled a whole chicken out of the deep freeze Friday. Most will go to cat and dog food, but I'll save out a breast or both thighs for dinner.

Baked chicken tonight with Fannie Farmer's classic Scalloped Corn casserole. The corn recipe was one of my favorites when I was teaching myself how to cook a few decades ago. Haven't made it in years.

I have bacon that needs to be cooked and tomatoes that need to be eaten. So tonight we are having pierogi (pedaheh) w/ bacon, onions and sour cream, I'm going to make some bruchetta w/ feta on naan bread, and we'll have some veggies and dip instead of a salad (we also have veggies that need to eaten before they start to go bad.)

That sounds really good. I used to make a corn casserole with canned corn, creamed canned corn, sour cream, 2 packages of Jiffy corn muffin mix, butter. it's been over 20 years since I've made it but it was so good.

We've got three turkeys that will be getting the same fate. Some for us, rest hacked up for the dogs and cats if they want it (turkey isn't their favorite sometimes.) We don't feed turkey bones so we boil them down, make the broth, and freeze it in 2 pound containers. The system works but it's a lot of work.

I think I shared this once before.
