Hello, my 10 month cat is sick and we took him to the vet to get him checked. Our vet prescribed us eye drops and antibiotics. It’s been about 4-5 days since I started him on his both meds but so far I don’t notice any improvement yet. In the beginning, it was just his eyes that looked unusual (inner eyelids were showing) but he still seemed okay, his attitude and all. Then he started hiding a lot more, stopped eating or drinking and would lay down almost all the time unless he went to use the litter box. I am syringe feeding him now. Also, his nose had some discharge in the beginning but now it seems dry. They did some blood tests and my vet said everything seems normal and that he was just dehydrated. He was also negative for FelV/FIV. My vet said he thinks it could be something else that is causing his sickness. He suspects it could be FIP and it really worries me ..
Any thoughts?

Was your cat tested for corona virus? If he doesn't have the virus, he can't have it mutate to FIP. Also, what blood tests were run? If he has an infection of some sort, that should have shown up in the CBC tests (elevated white blood cell count, for example).

Have you tried canned tuna in water, just to see if that might peak his interest in eating? The tuna water could also be added to some of his water to see if that would help him to start drinking.

Call your vet and see what they say. If you get no where with that, get a second opinion from a different vet group. You can also get your cat's medical records from your current vet to share with the second vet - it should help to reduce redundant tests/costs.
