I've seen this with sneakers & shoes, but never with clothing.

...then again, I generally don't leave loose clothing in reach of cats, as I've learned that they either sleep/shed on it, use their nails and leave holes, or, sometimes with some cats, pee on it. Considering these alternatives, I think you should consider head-rubbing loose clothing a highly positive outcome :)

She’s mixing her scent with yours. She’s claiming you. They do like to keep themselves clean so they don’t smell like prey. But they also like to scent mark their environment to announce to other cats, this human is mine.
Hahahahaha that is so adorable so if I smell like them what will my other cats think? :D

Cats have a communal scent. So a colony of cats will form friendships. They run up against each other to smell like each other. So your kitty is making sure your belongings that smell like to, smell like the family group.

As others have said, when a cat rubs against you they're marking their scent on you and it's normally a friendly, affectionate gesture. Toffee regularly "scents" my clothes and belongings so he can leave his mark on them.

I imagine there is some friendly competition to refresh their scent on you and your stuff. As long as the other cats feel secure in their environment and their relationship with you, I don’t think they’ll have to resort to bigger guns (urine marking.)

Only one of my 3 cats, Coco, rubs her cheeks all over my face, knead her paws on me,and crawls to my neck. Peaches rubs on furniture and has claimed my bed. Maggie I have not noticed anything.
