Hi everyone, I'm hoping you might have some ideas to help with our picky eater! We have two cats (sisters), one is picky, and the other will happily gobble up anything in her bowl, along with all of her sister's food too.

We made the switch earlier this year from dry food to wet, and our picky eater always ate her dry food quickly, but seems to have some texture preferences when it comes to wet food. She'll eat very chunky foods in a good amount of time (she loves Tiki cat), but when it comes to pate she'll often take hours to eat all of her food, and we end up having to watch the other cat like a hawk to make sure she doesn't gobble it up.

My only issues with the Tiki cat is that it's very expensive, and I'd rather not feed only one brand. I'm wondering if you know of any other brands that are very chunky, and hopefully less pricy?

Merrick has food in pouches that is basically square chunks of food.

Fancy Feast has a chunky line (chicken, turkey and chopped grill) that my boy goes nutty for. Sadly they are not grain free so they are a rare treat.

The Merrick pouches Kieka Kieka suggested are also a good option but they are from the Backcountry line, and they are pricey. I haven't tried them for Aslan yet.

Nutro Chunky Chicken is always a favorite though Chewy has been out for a while. I hope it hasn't been discontinued.

We have the same problem, but our picky guy, Gohan, seems to like very soupy foods. The kind that looks like cat food vomit :barfgreen:. Olive will eat anything.

The chunky foods we feed do include Tiki Cat - similar to Tiki Cat is Miko (a chewy brand) that looks very similar. Also the Lotus Just Juicy stews, although they tend to be pricey as well.

For more processed chunks we also feed our piggy Dave’s Pet Food Chicken Dinner, although we plan on switching to their Cats Meow line. The price is pretty reasonable and the ingredients are pretty good.

Our picky guy seems to hate the grainy pate texture and he literally gags smelling the gravy foods. We feed him Caru brand, it’s like if you added water to pate in a 1:1 ratio. It’s very soupy and he seems to like that.
