A bougainvillea isn't acually a tree, but it behaves like one. Here it's branching all over the lillypilly, with an olive behind. Dying off in the middle unfortunately.. I should have photographed it when it was in full 'flight'.

Yikeadoodle!

That thing's pretty! Looks like some kind of deciduous azalea! (Now you know why so many of us go who-ha over them.)

My roommate and I both screamed obscenities at the hoot-owls . . .
Glad you like it. It only flowers for a very brief period, which is a shame. It used to be bushier than that but a workman dropped a big radiator on it so halved its size. It came back quite well though.

Well, the leaves on our trees are finally starting to bud. No flowers yet. At least the snow is gone. The last of it melted over Mother's day weekend.

Dogwood, howling at the moon, at everything.

Chinese dude from Singapore wanted to know what the fuss was about, and he understood, and they have some [feces] screaming tropical trees over there.

If I was in the Dark Tower, I'd scream down the elevator shaft right now.

Trees are still flowering here in the "north", but I haven't been able to get many pics.

Here's a couple of my own Rhododendron. It's not one of the large varieties, so it's more the size of an Azalea.

The lilacs will be blooming ... soon.

I am. I try to keep some distance between flowering anything and myself, so I'm really enjoying this.

There are trees that flower in summer. Right now it is my favorite shade tolerant tree, Stewartia pseudocamellia, aka Korean stewartia, Japanese stewartia, or deciduous camellia.

Here's a closeup of the flower

@Norachan, do they grow where you are?

Pretty flowers C catapault . :daisy: :tree:

So, thanks to the weather, the peony is a disaster this year. Peonies are tall, lanky and floppy at the best of times, and I use a peony cage to help them. But we had a lot of heavy rain, and now most of the flowers are bent over so far they're touching the ground. :( I did get a couple pictures before they started their disaster drooping. And, yes, I do know my peony is a perennial, not a tree, but hopefully doomsdave doomsdave won't care. ;) Next to bloom, and it is starting, is the weigelia.

rubysmama rubysmama At a garden I was visiting in Vermont earlier in June I was told that the gardener had fastened children's umbrellas to stakes. In sunny weather they were closed, just a decorative addition. But when it rained they were opened up to shelter the peonies from acting like blotting paper and flopping over in the rain.

That's a neat idea. Looks like you can even buy peony garden umbrellas.

Chitalpa tree in bloom at my mom’s place, central California. It has a lovely scent, too.
Very pretty.
