Have you tried DASUQUIN® Sprinkle Capsules for Cats | Dasuquin.com it has helped my old boy move a lot easier he gets it twice a day mixed in with his food. Midi also love heat his favourite place is his heated cat bed.
I have not heard of that! I just looked it up on chewy.com. That sounds like a much better idea then the glycoflex treats. Those things are such darn huge, and because he is such a finicky eater, I just know he won't eat them. Powder in the food might be sneaky enough to get him to eat it!!! I am going to order this asap! THANK YOU

No, he absolutely hates the taste. However, my little guy is addicted to treats (and I mean addicted). So, what I do is count out 5 treats, and squirt one drop on each treat. I let it soak in for about an hour, then give him the treats. He eats them without noticing!

I wonder if I can put one drop on each kibble

The severe arthritis can very well be a contributing factor in all this.

Is the litterbox still with standard-height entry walls - or, have you improvised a low-entry door for him ? Some people cut down one side so the entry step into the box doesn't require wall-climbing. I used a makeshift ramp up to an already low-sided box for one cat.

It will be worth observing what, if any difference the CBD may make to his mobility.

Funny, I was going to suggest the Glycoflex treats. Those sprinkles may work, though......

There's a supplement, Green-Lipped Mussel, that is well-known* as an effective anti-inflammatory for arthritic cats. One product line contains it, Glycoflex (also contains Glucosamine). Now, they don't have a 'sprinkle' product, but it comes as "bite-sized chews'. I wonder if they would send you a sample (not to test efficacy, but acceptability). Here's their site - three types in the 2nd row down: VetriSCIENCE Laboratories

*There was a very active member here who is extremely knowledgeable in all-things-holistic. She and another equally talented TCS regular (carolina) went off and started an online business with (I think) raw food add-in supplements as its focus. She is "ldg" or Laurie - here are search results for "Green-Lipped Mussel" by ldg: Search Results - There's a lot of info there, but it attests to the value of GLM against arthritis.

On another front -
I was going to post over the weekend and suggest a plan to smooth out the 'hump' of getting him to the Vet, at least for times when it could be pre-planned. Have a read through this thread - it's becoming the go-to method for trips with these cats: Gabapentin Before Vet Visit

Personally, I'd rather have a plan of action for visits than to be on the fence about taking him - that just 'leaves the door unlocked' and removes one barrier to transporting him - making it a consideration instead of a no-go zone.

Maybe something there could help.

His litter box has a very low entrance so he can pop right in and out. He also has his very own litterbox - my other cat has a separate "business" area, so that I can monitor anything happening with Edgar. He is able to get in and out as he pleases. He uses puppy pads to poop on, has done this his whole life (weird I know..but that's Edgar for you).

I was definitely thinking about the green lipped muscle! I have read a lot about it. The treats will not work, I have purchased a few other treats from vetriscience for other things, they are huge and taste terrible. My cats won't touch them. However, I did find "super snouts joint powder." I could sprinkle that in food. Here is the link:

https://www.chewy.com/super-snouts-joint-power-green-lipped/dp/130969

I might go that route instead - still researching though.

Thanks for the suggestion about Gabapentin. Its too dangerous to administer something like that to Edgar who is incredibly wobbly and unsteady already. We also had to stop pain medication for his arthritis because he became SCARY loopy - walking into walls, knocking things over. I was terrified he was going to hurt himself. Just not an option for us.

I appreciate all of your suggestions and ideas. Given me a lot to think about!

OH GOD! And I was just about to microwave dinner...think I'll have soup! Just kidding...it would take more than that to upset my tummy. I worked in ERs for years and years.

I received bm gold yesterday and oliver had .25 at 12pm and .20 at 9pm orally, he doesnt like the taste. About 3 sec after administer he runs about 4 ft then settles down, I also orally give him uromaxx without negativity...

Well his poops is defintly softer as one broke apart into mush when I scooped it up.. So I guess its working as advertised, im going to give him once a day instead of twice and see how it goes
