This is Sterling at the Seacoast Cat Clubs show this past weekend. He was NOT a happy camper! I believe he will be staying home for awhile to make some babies (I HOPE!) to see if that will help with the raging hormones. I actually tried to post a video I took but it said the file was to large and I am not savvy enough to figure out how to deal with it. Even being cranky he picked up some points toward becoming a grand champion. These ladies were all judges at the show.

Oh he's gorgeous! I bet those judges just loved him. His expression in the first picture is so adorable. Poor little sweetheart just wanted to go home.

The judge in the first photo is a friend so after she judged him I told her I was considering not showing him due to his attitude, she told me to keep him out.

I really don't know how those judges can do that. One look at that face and I melt like an ice cube in the Florida sun. He's so cute. I'd just be telling everyone else to just go home.

DD came by to talk to me when I had this thread up and saw Sterling's pics. She instantly fell in love and she said that he might be the cutest cat she's ever seen. I guess she will never be a judge at a cat show either. :p

Thank you for liking him. Despite how he acted at the show, he is a total sweetheart! While showing is a beauty contest, the judges have guidelines to follow. Each breed has a written standard and they have to pick the cat closest to the standard of perfection of course it is their interpretation of the standard.

His breeder assured me that it is just hormones causing him to be a brat at the show. Once he starts breeding he should settle down (I hope!). I have had cats who did not like the shows so I retired them, but I R-E-A-L-L-Y want to try to get him titled before I retire him to be the main stud. I will make that decision later after he starts breeding and I see how he reacts at the shows. Right now he is curled up in the big dog bed while the dog is in a little cat bed. He looks like an angel.
