One of my guys has some mild irritation above his eyes (eyebrow area, not ears). He had annual checkup & vaccinations 2 weeks ago. He is on Revolution & it was applied last night (as per normal monthly schedule). Vet has changed to a new product, but we still had 2 doses of Revolution. I actually thought they were on Advantage Multi instead.
He also has a scrape on his leg/hip area from last Friday. Not sure how that happened as we weren't home (no outdoor access). He may have been playing to rough or rubbed against something. I haven't noticed any signs of skin irritation except above his eyes. So this is most likely unrelated.
We only allow our cats outside when we can watch them closely. There are other/neighbor cats that access our yard. They probably DO NOT use flea/mite prevention. So, its possible our cats could be exposed to something in the yard, but no direct contact to those cats.
I have called my vets office, but would like to give the Revolution time to work. We will take him in if he gets worst or if he doesn't improve in a few days.
Thoughts on what may be causing issue?
