I love the sweet noises our babies make. The Vincie girl brought 3 baby chipmunks home some years ago and thought they were hers. She was making a darling sound I've never heard before.Last night I was having some orange sherbet. Sophie was sitting by my feet. She stood up on her hind legs with her front feet on the chair and looked at me with a very hopeful expression on her face. She loves vanilla ice cream and thought I had some. I offered her a taste of sherbet but no go. She just left the room. I felt bad. Today I stopped at the grocery store after work and bought this.

It's tiny. 3.6 ounces. There's a little spoon attached to the inside of the lid. After dinner, she was sitting by my feet so I went and got it. She saw the container and got excited. I asked her if she wanted some and she got even more excited. She had some. Just a little bit on the end of the spoon. She makes the cutest little happy noises when she's licking the spoon. That small container will last her a while. DD was with me when I went to the store. She thinks I'm nuts. Oh well. My little girl enjoyed her bit of ice cream.
Can hubby get a pick of the Russian Queen? After the rounds of nasty thunderstorms and tornadoes yesterday and last night,it is lovely outside today! The sun is out,sky is blue,it's warm and we survived!Thank you Lord!Saw a tufted titmouse pair at the feeder this morning, feeding each other, the woodpeckers were so happy to have a new suet block,a fellow beekeeper that hubby helps out from time to time gave him a new Russian queen...he says she's a beauty!Today he's feeling better than he has in days...yay!
He might be able to get one on his phone, but it's not a smart phone and I would have no clue how to post it.Can hubby get a pick of the Russian Queen?
He's a beauty! We only get three different kinds here in Ohio and he isn't one of them. I'd better get a new feeder soon as they'll be here soon from the Gulf of Mexico.Look at these wonderful little rufous hummingbirds! I wish they'd stay, but they're just passing through on their way north.

Yes, they are beauties. I have about 3 couples that are here daily and 2 Blue Jay couples. I love their colors as well but they are yappy!Ah, but you have cardinals! I grew up in Ohio, and I miss the brilliant red cardinals.
Well, where there is one there's more, right? Maybe a family?Wolves were wiped out here 150 years ago, but have been making a comeback since the fall of the Iron Curtain. It's just been officially confirmed that at least one is living about 39 km / 24 miles from here.
We have the blue jay’s western cousin, the California scrub-jay. It’s like a blue jay without the top knot. They’re related to crows (which we also have in abundance), all members of the Corvidae family. Cheeky, loud things, but I enjoy them anyway!Yes, they are beauties. I hope he’s not bringing you a present lol.
I enjoy the yapping as well. Sounds like a concert out there when they're all singing. Cardinals, Blue Jays, Robins, Crows, Wrens, etc.We have the blue jay’s western cousin, the California scrub-jay. What about bears? I read in a German newspaper a year or two ago that some bears had come from farther East and that the farmers were complaining that the bears were eating their livestock and the authorities had them hunted down and killed. That was in Austria or the Eastern parts of the Bavarian Alps. What a shame, those bears had come from Yugoslavia or even farther East.Wolves were wiped out here 150 years ago, but have been making a comeback since the fall of the Iron Curtain.
