Yes, it’s very endearing, isn’t it. The three girls don’t do it consistently, but that may change as they get older. Max, during his last two years, was either in my lap or next to me with his head and paw touching me.

Yeah, it's lovely when they do that. It's more of a human type contact rather than a typical cat head butt, for example.

My Matthew does that. He was the scaredy cat in the shelter but now he is the clingiest little bum in the household. Yeah I love it. This is just one more way cats are awesome.

It is, isn’t it! I hadn’t thought about it in that way.

My little buddy Peko is a touch kitty. When I lay on the bed and read he is usually there. He is a very sweet boy.

“I thought about your lap but this is too hot. I’ll just touch your leg and call it a day.”

It’s not so bad when Mocha does this when I’m wearing sweats but it’s a bit of a problem when I’m wearing shorts and she hooks into my bare leg. Ow.

So adorable! They probably do it so they know you are still there with them. Cats are so affectionate

Selene is usually right on top of me or snuggled right up against me. When she's simply nearby, my mere presence seems to suffice
