Ok so i went outside for a smoko just now at night, thinking about Leo and MC, and i hear a meow, and im thinking, poor cat is walking around somewhere in the bushes and how it sounds similar to leo or Mc but not really , and then i get up to go back inside and i see a cat walking up my back step, at first i thought is this another apparition of leo and mc ? I realize she is my neighbors cat who live across the street which leo used to visit. She sees me runs off for a bit to the fence but stays there. So keeping my distance i am with my torch looking at her, and she is looking at me. I put some fish in the backyard to see if she will eat it.

So do i A) let her hang around my yard and enjoy my yard
B ) feed her, like i used to do when Leo and MC were strays ( but she isnt , she lives across the street)
C) or C am i slack for trying to take my neighbors cat again, i accidentally did that with Leo, i thought he was a stray but 12 years later when i asked the vet to check if he had a micro chip he in fact did have one, and my neighbor did tell me that leo used to live a few houses down and he lived with dogs, before he decided to stay with me.

So what do i do ? I know if she does decide to stay in my yard, my mother will kill me lol, but she is going overseas this weekend for 3 months hehehehe "evil laugh" . She looks like Leo and MC blended together, she is orange and large like Leo but her fur is like MC in my avatar pictures. But then i feel guilty cause i miss leo and mc so much and i dont want to replace them, but my parents will kill me, and i still have lots of cat food . WHAT DO I DO ?

Hi, sounds like you are very caring towards this kitty. Can you speak with the neighbor and see what they think?

Personally I think it’s fine to let him hang out in the yard, but you might want to talk to your neighbor about feeding him. Unless he’s undernourished, I would feel uncomfortable giving another person’s cat food without their knowledge.

My ex-neighbor;s cat became my Callie girl, She moved herself in about 6 years ago because she didn't like their incessant fighting. They were mad at first but told me if she was happier living with me and I wanted her, it was ok with them because they wanted her to be happy. Sounds like this cat like being at your house.

i found it funny that she was sitting there, cause leo every morning would walk across the street when i pet him in the morning before i go to work, he always used to sit there in front of her garden watching her while she lays around lol . Ill just let her hang around if she wants to, i wont feed her cause i dont want to make her sick if she has some health issues that i may not know about . She is probably looking for him too. I would feel bad if leo and mc were taken from me too, they had another cat that disappeared for some reason, so i dont want to make them upset again .

You could pop over and tell them he is in your yard and ask if its ok to feed him or give him a treat occasionally, then you could ask if there is anything he shouldnt have.

As what others suggested, I go with knocking at your neighbor and ask if you can feed their cat. Who knows, that neighbor might tell you, "If you like her, keep her."

By the time your mother gets back from overseas, you might have another cat - and she can't do anything anymore (insert evil laugh here, too! :lol2:).

We will never know. :)

For now, since you have a lot of cat food left, and if the neighbor does not seem to mind, I think its ok to feed that cat and become friends.

I also think it's ok to be friendly and allow the cat to hang out but, I wouldn't be feeding it either unless it clearly looked under fed and uncared for. You don't know the cat's health overall - and over feeding is as bad as under feeding; for instance if the cat is diabetic or on some kind of special diet due to other issues such as allergies, kidney disease, etc. You just do not know.

And yes, I'd probably also try talking to the owner since you do know who it is. No harm done there.
