Absolutely lovely, segelkatt segelkatt . The geraniums are gorgeous. One of the things I'm really looking forward to with the shed is having a place for plants. I've missed having plants in the house, but plants and cats do not mix. I'm hoping that Mollipop behaves herself with the plants in the shed. I'm really glad you took those plants.

I've been dealing with this blasted headache now off and on since late Saturday morning. It comes, it goes, it comes back. Yesterday I felt fairly decent, now today it's back with a vengeance. I think it's from the humidity and pressure.
  • Breakfast for the kids, walked 3 miles, I had to scoop the boxes (forgot last night), and got ready for work. It didn't help that we overslept a bit; Ms. Pepe decided to sleep in til 5:15 this morning (she's our alarm clock and she's usually up bright and early, screaming her lungs out for breakfast).
  • Scoop the boxes and do a quick vacuum about the house
That might be pretty much it. It depends on how I feel.

I did not TAKE those plants, I gave them away because I can't take them with me to Reno when i leave at the end of July. I have always had plants inside, my cats never bothered them and they were in pots big enough that they could have tried to use them as litter boxes. Maybe that is because I have had a LitterRobot for over 10 years and they are used to going there not in dirty soil.

very little to do today! :yess:

i made a phone call. and this afternoon i'll wash the very few dishes i have, and scoop the litter boxes. i'll also make two liters of soda.

yesterdays efforts with stacking the load of firewood got me almost done with it. :banana1: i've just got the thick short length slab pieces and the smaller kindling left to deal with now. after that, i've got other things to get going on.

once i've got the household chores done, i'll play some computer games, continue with a jigsaw puzzle, and watch some tv.

today i'll wash the dishes, scoop the litter boxes. i'll freeze in small portions (will measure how much per cube) in ice cube trays, the crushed maraschino cherries. i'm going to use plastic film tucked into the cube sections, so the frozen cubes will be easy to get out of the trays.

i've already moved some sliced bologna to the fridge to thaw.

after that, i'll play some computer games, continue with a jigsaw puzzle, and watch something on tv.

i may start writing up next months budget, too.

segelkatt segelkatt Oh sorry, I misunderstood!
Mia6 Mia6 Is your knee feeling any better?

We've been busy this past week. We had a meeting about Medicare plans and Social Security. Primarily for me, since Dear Richard is retiring in a couple of weeks. We have him all set, but I still have to figure out what I want to do in a few months. We've been working outside, in between rain storms. All kinds of good stuff. We set up an appointment for the Lowes weenies to come in and install the new front doors.

Not much on the agenda for today; when Rick took The Beast out, it was already starting to rain. Rain is forecast for pretty much every day this coming week.
  • Breakfast for the kids, emptied the dishwasher, stripped the bed, sorted laundry, and put the first load in the washer. Rick will scoop when he gets up from his morning nap.
  • Made a chocolate fudge cake with French silk frosting for supper tonight.
  • Do a quick vacuum about the house, wipe down the kitchen and bathroom.
  • Visit with Rick's mom
  • Give my poor nails a much-needed manicure.

Winchester Winchester Yes, it's feeling better. Thank you for asking. Is your migraine gone?
Your fudge cake sounds scrumptious!

  • boxes
  • tea
  • cleaned up a Vincie girl hairball.
Will do a bit of laundry. Rain all day and forecast for all week. Still don't have a surface large enough for my jigsaw puzzle. This would be a good week to start it
with all the rain.

Today I finished the spreadsheet I was working on to help me make a decision on where I should go to grad school.
I also went for a 2 mile run/walk.
Lastly, I watched the original Parent Trap, which I think is the better version, but I do think the remake is pretty good too.

today i've kept the wood stove going, just enough to keep the chill off the house. it's still a bit chilly here!

i'll wash the dishes, scoop the litter boxes, make 3 liters of soda, and start the crushed maraschino cherries freezing. i'll also finish writing up next months budget.

after that, i'll play some computer games, continue with a jigsaw puzzle, and watch some tv.

A long and frustrating week. I'm so glad it's Friday. Ms. Pepe scared the crap out of us this week and we thought we were going to lose her. But she came back to whatever passes for normal for her. I think she's on the last of her nine lives. This episode was really bad. But she's OK again.
  • Breakfast for the kids, walked four miles, and got ready for work.
  • I have a meeting this afternoon with a developer
  • Must scoop the boxes
Early night tonight. I'm pooped.

Winchester Winchester , i'm so sorry that your Ms Pepe was doing so poorly, but am very glad to read that she's 'turned the corner' now and is feeling better. :hugs:

today i've kept the wood stove going 'low and slow', and have scooped the litter boxes. i've also spent some time with my budget.

this afternoon, i'll wash the dishes, and likely will make two liters of soda.

after that, i'll play some computer games, continue with a jigsaw puzzle, and watch some tv.

Thanks guys! She's back to yelling for breakfast and yelling at Rick if he's not in the proper position on the couch that she can lie on him in comfort. And when she started yelling for her peanut butter again, we knew she was starting to feel better. She'll give up food before she gives up peanut butter.

Today is Dear Richard's birthday; we just celebrated our 48th wedding anniversary earlier this week. He wants to go to Shady Maple for his birthday dinner, so we'll be leaving shortly. (Shhh, he doesn't know it, but I'm planning on breakfast in bed for him tomorrow.)
  • Breakfast for the kids, emptied the dishwasher, and am sitting back here with my morning coffee. Rick will scoop when he gets up from his morning nap.
  • Shady Maple for a late lunch/early dinner. We're stopping down to visit with the grands for a while, then hitting the outlets and Reading China and Glass (you never know what kitchen items I might find), before going onto the restaurant.
  • Depending on when we get home, I might try to get the yard mowed before it starts raining later on tonight. Once it starts raining, it will continue well into Sunday, so no mowing tomorrow.

i'll wash the dishes, scoop the litter boxes, get a loaf of bread machine bread making, move some cold cuts and something for upcoming dinners to the fridge to thaw, and make the two liters of soda (that i didn't need to make yesterday).

i'll spend some time on some planning, too.

I did well at Reading China and Glass. I looked at a roaster and rack, but put it back. We did buy some seasonings and some smoker pellets, but that was it.
  • Breakfast for the kids, working on laundry, Rick scooped, and stripped the bed down
  • Dear Richard had French toast on the couch this morning, since he was napping there
  • Vacuum, do a quick Swiffer, wipe down the kitchen and bathroom
  • We need to clip claws and clean ears today
  • Visit with Rick's mom

We managed to get the yard mowed last night. Tonight we are under severe t-storm watch, so we wanted to get things done last night. I ripped through the yard and Rick did some push-mowing to trim a bit.
  • Breakfast for the kids, walked 4 miles, and got ready for work
  • Must scoop the boxes
  • My friend will be admitted to the dementia unit of a local nursing home on Friday; his wife asked me to come in tonight to visit with him. I know, this is really selfish on my part, but I don't want to. This is a man I worked with for almost 10 years; it was just him and me on the line. And I'm having some really bad problems with his dementia. I'm going in to see him tonight because I need to do this and I realize that I need to do this. But knowing him for the man he was, compared to the man he is now is painful. He doesn't even know us anymore.
While I worked with him for a long time, I eventually met his wife and she and I became friends, too. The four of us have done a lot of things together: vacations and trips, one-day get aways, shopping, dinners, you name it, we've done it. It breaks my heart. It's going to be hard.
