Flooding? Or has the water level risen permanently?
NY city destroyed the whole town and several others to flood this valley. Completely flooded by late 1963. Cannonsville, Rock Royal, Granton, Beerston, Rock Rift all gone.

Man made lake at a state park where I used to work. My mom told me she used to horseback ride here before it was a lake.
I've never heard of such a thing. How depressing.

NY city did this to many more communities. They have 19 reservoirs for drinking water. Many people sacrificed their homes so they could have water. The power of eminent domain....I've never heard of such a thing. How depressing.

I get that people need drinking water, but it still seems sad to bury towns under water.

Those were taken with my old film SLR camera, that I really miss. Now I just have an old point & shoot digital one. Someday, though, I hope to buy a DSLR.
You did very well with the film camera. As for digital cameras, much less mistakes.

Just ask the Seneca Nation about the Kinzua Dam that flooded thousands of acres of their land, destroying whole villages.I get that people need drinking water, but it still seems sad to bury towns under water.

Thank you. I originally had a nice small blue hydrangea for Angel, but it did really well for 2 yrs, then just died out. (The weather stayed nice for so long here in NC, that by time I brought it in that last Dec. It was still full of blooms) but went downhill from there, so after having to move bk to my parents last June, I put these in for Angel & Sammie.

I actually took this photo in March. It's a pretty resilient spider that spins a web this early in spring!
That's a pretty good shot of the web with water droplets on it!
