Krissy has been meowing a lot lately and she’s become very needy. Earlier I was able to express a (kind of) clear liquid. Is this colostrum? When should I expect her to give birth? She bred on Feb 5 or 6th so she about 60 days pregnant.

60 days would be a little early. Kittens will usually be born between 63 - 67 days. If she was bred on February 5 or 6, I would expect her kittens some time next week. Is this the same cat you posted about before? I think you said before that she was bred on February 8?

I did post about a different cat, Tessa on a different thread. They both got pregnant around the same time. I was expecting kittens about next week too. I guess I’ll just wait and see

Ok, that explains it. Yes, you will have to just wait and see. It's best for kittens if they are full term (63 days or more) because kittens don't do very well being premature. Often, moms in the last week will exhibit behavior that makes you wonder if they are about to give birth, and I know the suspense can be difficult!

Yes sorry for the confusion lol! I recently started a cattery. I have to two queens Krissy and Tessa. I’ll keep you updated!

63 days today! Krissy seemed a bit more playful and hyper than usual. She still has colostrum but it’s not so clear anymore. Not quite the color of normal milk though.

66 days today, still no kittens... now that I’m thinking about it, it’s possible that Krissy may have gotten pregnant a few days after the 5th. She was with the male for a little while. The 5th was the first day that I saw her mate.

Hi RejoiceErb, it seems to me that you have posted about 4 kittens having been born to Krissa in somebody else's thread. Am I wrong? There are so many members with pregnant cats at this time of the year that I get lost sometimes.
