At what point do I get worried and take her to the vet? She’s a first time mama! She’s playing with our other cat and is not acting pregnant at all. Lol

I’ve set up multiple nest boxes around the house.

Sometimes the pregnancy period goes over 70 days. How is she? Have you felt the kittens moving? If so how long ago?

The average gestation length for cats is 64 days, but 62-67 days is still considered normal range.

Pregnancy And Delivery In Cats

Can you feel the kittens moving? Have you noticed any milk production? Milk production usually starts a day or two before delivery, so that’s a good indicator of how much longer she might have. Also, I notice that she is a colorpointed cat (and beautiful, by the way!). That means that she could possibly have some Siamese ancestry. Siamese cats have a longer gestation length than most, around 70 days.

Any kittens yet?
Nope! Day 76 of our dates are correct. Still no kittens. I think she just lost her mucus plug though, hopefully that’s a good sign! (It’s stuck in her hair, I’m going to give her some time to clean it and if she can’t reach it I’ll clean it for her.)

At 76 days she would be overdue. But are you sure of your dates? Do you know how long ago you have felt the kittens move? Has she been eating normally? If you are certain about her pregnancy dates you should have her seen by a vet without further delay.

But if she doesn't seem in trouble and has just lost her mucus plug it is possible that you have got the dates mistaken and all is well. Please keep us updated.

Hi! We’re not 100% on dates. She’s doing good, babies are moving etc., I’m going to give her this weekend and if she doesn’t have them we’re taking her to the vet Monday! Fingers crossed she has them soon so I can stop stressing!

If my dates are correct my girl Krissy is day 73:/ but I’m not 100% sure on dates either. I can still feel kittens here and there and everything seems normal. She’s not it pain or anything.
