What's For Dinner? - 2019

Since my sister and b-i-l are here visiting we went to a restaurant where the entire first floor is devoted to a salad/hot bar and seating is downstairs. The salad/hot bar consists of everything from salad, veggies (both hot & cold), fruit, yogurt, nuts, hummus, rice, mac & cheese, potatoes, soup, falafel, tamales, and pizza (thin & deep dish). They also have a bakery section with some of the most tempting desserts. Fortunately we walked off our meal afterwards.

Prime rib roast and mashed potatoes.

Asparagus is my favorite.

I'm sure everyone will be as surprised to hear that I'm having pizza as you are when Mamanyt1953 is having hot dogs.

With the extra pizza dough I made some cream cheese and cherry turnovers for dessert:



One of those days when my food didn't turn out very "pretty".

That looks amazing!! Did you make the pizza yourself?

Both the turnovers and the pizza look delicious. I love provolone cheese on pizza.

We also had chocolate cake with butter cream frosting. I was too full for dessert so I brought cake, dessert pizza, and pie home plus left-overs, yum.

Thank you...yes, I make lots of pizza. Today I used Kentucky Bourbon BBQ sauce instead of standard pizza marinara to switch things up a bit.

I was invited out for Easter dinner, so took along my Gardein stuffed turk'y

Looks good!

It's not bad. And works when I want something "fancier" on my plate when invited to someone's place who is having a dinner with meat, potatoes and veggies.

It doesn't look quite that real in person, but it's still pretty good.

Ham and cheese sandwich, left over strawberry salad, and dill pickle flavored chips.

i'll heat up the last serving (that's thawed) of jalapeno sausage and scalloped potatoes. some mini pretzels, with a little buttermilk ranch dip. and a slice of pineapple upside-down cake for dessert -- later in the evening!

Last of the thawed hot dogs. Need to use them. Tomorrow? Who knows, but I have ground beef thawed. SOMETHING out of ground beef.

Yesterday we had grilled lamb chops,baked sweet potatoes,steamed asparagus,tomato,cuke and onion salad and peanut butter cheesecake with a chocolate drizzle.Tonight was leftovers galore.So good!
