When I woke up this morning Carleton came into the bedroom to greet me as he does every day. However, I realized I say the same thing to him each and every morning, "hello sweet pea." :lovecat3: How do you greet your cat(s) in the morning?

My Bourbon is the first one who makes the "greeting" by a swat or a butt on my face, at 3 am or 4 am everyday. Then I walk zombie-like to the kitchen to feed them and go back to sleep. When I fully wake up 2 hours later, I usually say, "Hi Babies!" to my cats.

They always line up and march in, one by one, to greet me while I am sitting on the toilet first thing when I get up. They all swish their tails in wide side to side movements and rub their heads up against my legs. I greet each one by name and say goodmorning! They get very agitated while waiting their turn and will actually swipe at one coming out if they take too long.....

Considering they are the ones who wake me up, they usually get a little pet or a "Hi buddy" if it's Chester or Bynx or a "Hi Honey bun" if it's Lily. That's usually all I can muster being still half asleep.
Lily sleeps with us most of the night so she just stays put until we get up. But Chester and Bynx take turns coming into the room and walking up right up to my face. They will sit there and stare at me for a minute or two, and when they realize that it's not time to get up yet, they will go off and play, only to return every 10-15 minutes or so, to keep checking if it's time to eat yet.
