I had used Darwins raw, but was reading it is very bone dense on here, and I was looking for other suggestions of raw food that can be shipped, as most I saw recommended do not ship and there is no pet store where I live. I am not open to making my own as I don't have faith in my ability to not mess up, nor do I have time, or the desire to handle raw meat more than is necessary, thank you for understanding. My budget is about $100 a month for 1 cat who is about 12lbs if that helps, Darwins has been the only raw I could find that ships. Also open to high quality wet food recommendations. Thank you!

You sound like me in this regard :)

I can't help with the raw but for canned/pouch foods, my boy gets Merrick Backcountry, Natural Balance, Chewy . com's Tiny Tiger, Miko, and Tractor Supply's Paws and Claws and sometimes he'll eat their 4Health. I also have Sheba and some Blue Wilderness in the house (I rotate his food).

There are other brands such as Hound and Gatos, etc that I can't use because the feline part of the equation in this household made negative comments lol

In which area of the world do you live in? USA? Canada? Europe?
I know in Canada we have this brand called Big Country Raw and they ship to your door. I personally find that the bone content is still a little too high at 15% to 20%, but it is better from what it used to be.

I live in the United States and I looked at Bug Country Raw but I can only find dog food and I don't know if they deliver to the U.S.

My bad, I meant to say Big Country Raw, not Bug Country Raw.

What did you decide? I realize with the holiday you might not have had much time to think about things...

I emailed Darwins about their bone content in the cat food to see if it was really that high, as I'd read somewhere it was 25% which is way too high, but Darwin's said the cat food raw is only 8-9% bone so I plan to continue with Darwin's in the future.

Chewy started carrying Nature's Variety frozen raw, but so far they only carry the 85% meat. The 95% meat is hard to find, and almost twice as expensive at $11 for a 1LB bag vs $7 for a 1LB bag for the 85% meat. So far the only places I've found that carry the 95% are Petco, and I've only seen it in store with no option for shipping.

The 85% isn't terrible, but it's not the best either.

Yea I'd prefer to stick with Darwin's over the 85% I would go to a pet store but the closest one is a pet smart 2 hours away, the only store we have is Walmart so everything pet wise is ordered online and shipped as Walmart doesn't have great choices.

One thing you have to be careful of with Darwin's is the packaging. I used to order from them but everry order I ended up having packages that weren't completely sealed or had a cut or hole in them. I let the next day's meals thaw overnight so it got to be a problem when I'd open my fridge in the morning to see one had leaked.

They were very good about giving me credit for any of the damaged packages if I sent them photos, but it just got to be too much of a hassle for me. It sucked because I liked the food itself.
