I'm not big on country, but I like old country western, like Johnny Cash. Folk music too. I would classify Dave Alvin as dark American Folk. He's legit.

This is sooo good. -ing beautiful, if I may say so. I love how right in the middle of this heavy song they weave in some absolutely gorgeous lead guitar work. And the soft part with the cleaner guitar parts... Sooo awesome!

I definitely like the Scandinavian bands best. They just have this authenticity that a lot of American bands don't have.
