She does look like a small girl! Do you have her on unlimited kitten food? She’ll need to continue with unlimited dry food and meals of wet food while nursing too.

Now is also the time to get some kitten supplies. The basics are kitten milk replacer (powdered is best), a needleless syringe in case you have to supplement, and a kitchen scale that weighs in grams. Do you have nest options set up?

And have you looked into a plan to spay your girl in two months? It’s not a bad idea to make the appointment in advance.

The size of the belly doesn’t matter too much. She could just be carrying a small litter. Or maybe she’s carrying them “neatly”. The average gestation for cats isn’t 63-67 days so she’s getting close!
Ok thank you! Im just really excited!

My 1.5 yr old cat was out for 2 days january 30th, and 3 days february 7th ish not sure when during that time she got preggo, but she is and i was wondering how far along you think she is. Thought i felt kittens move a week ago but havent felt anything since. I love her so much so i want to be home when she goes into labor. She is so sweet and loving has been her whole life want to give her the best. She has alays been a smaller cat so her belly is huge for her but not as big as in pictures ive seen.View attachment 278805 View attachment 278806
My baby just had hers 2 days ago but she lost her mucus plug 7-8 days before it happened and you will be able to tell when the second stage starts, I was completely clueless what to do I thought for sure something was wrong but it all turned out great!! Just show her that unconditional love and treat her like a queen and youl

New question! So Alice the mama is half siamese point lynx and half orange tabby. She was the only calico of the whole litter. one brown tabby, her sister, and 4 orange/orange and white boys. All with blue or green eyes and 2 including her without tails like their mom. The dad of Alice's litter were pretty sure is a tonkinese cross. What color do you think the babies will be? And whats the probability for them being born without tails?

This was Alice's mom she was owned by my ex and he didnt get any of them spayed or nutered. I rescued all the babies in this litter amd found homes. Alice was returned to me after getting prego. I wish i could get my hands on her mama and spay her to!

Ok, so Alice is a torbie and white domestic shorthair, carrying colorpoint (since her mom appears to have been a seal lynx point and white domestic shorthair -- not a Siamese, as a Siamese would not have white feet and would not be tailless).

Assuming the taillnessness inherited from Alice's mom is a dominant gene, each of Alice's kittens will have a 50% chance of being tailless.

What color can the kittens be?
  • Either males or females could be brown tabby, or brown tabby and white.
  • Some of the males could be red (orange), or red and white.
  • Some of the females could be torbie, or torbie and white (like Alice).
  • If the father of the litter is red, some female kittens could be red, or red and white.
  • If the father of the litter carries colorpoint, some kittens may be lynx point, lynx point and white, red point, red point and white, torbie point, or torbie point and white.
  • If Alice and the father of the litter both carry solid (non-tabby), some kittens may be black, black and white, tortie, tortie and white, or calico.
  • If the father carries colorpoint AND both parents carry solid, some kittens may be seal point, seal point and white, tortie point, or tortie point and white.
  • Finally, if both parents carry dilute, you could get dilute versions of any of the above colors.
What do you mean "tonkinese cross" for the dad of Alice's litter? Do you mean he is also a pointed cat?

This is very helpful! I wondered if she was tortie! The dad is a medium grey with dark grey pionts and blue eyes! Ill see if i can find a pic! Thank you so much. All the owners of him know is that they were told he was half tonkinese. I know nothing about Gene's of cats

The father appears to be a blue point, and we know that Alice carries the colorpoint gene, so each of her kittens will have a 50% chance of being pointed. Note that these kittens will be born white, and gradually get color at the points.

Since the father is both solid and dilute (blue), if Alice also happens to carry solid and dilute, you could have kittens with any of the colors in the list (except for red females). It will be interesting to see what you get :)
