Couple Questions About Cat Pregnancy

I left my cat with a family friend that has multiple cats, including a male cat but I was under the impression he was neutered. And the family friend never said anything about her escaping or going outside. So, when I went and brought her home she looked a little big bigger but I wasn't thinking to much off it, I thought she maybe gained some weight due to she had access to food 24/7. Around a week or so later, I was petting her and her nipples seemed to be a bit bigger, and slightly pink but I wasn't thinking to much of it. After, she started to throw up and get a little bit bigger. I called the vet, for reassurance, and she said "she could possibly be pregnant" but I didn't believe it cause I was still under the impression the friends cat was neutered. Her belly started to get quite big and round. So, I was looking up signs of pregnancy and those are all signs of a pregnant cat, from what I have read. For the past week, I've been feeling her belly to feel for any movement and didn't feel anything till late last night, I can also see the kittens moving a little now... Will she be going into labor soon? She's also a really small cat, could her being so small affect anything? For the past week she has also been following me around a lot, and wanting a lot of attention, which she normally doesn't do, should I be worried? I also have a male cat, that is neutered, should I be worried about him?

To find out when she is due to have kittens, you will want to try to figure out when she mated.
When did she visit the friend's house?
When did you notice her nipples becoming bigger and more pink?
Can you call the friend and ask whether their male cat is actually neutered?

If both of your cats are indoor, it's ok for your neutered male cat to be around your female cat during her pregnancy as long as she is ok with it (some females become much more territorial when pregnant and don't want other cats around). When she is close to having her kittens, you will want to have a private room set aside for her if possible.

Do you plan to spay her after this litter?

I did call the friend but still to this day she says he is neutered but I beg to differ. I don't remember when they started to pink up. And I do plan on spaying her after.

Even if their cat is neutered, she might have gotten out while staying with them. Cats are very fertile so even if she was only out for a few minutes she could have found a tomcat.

Anyway, yes, it sounds like they'll be here fairly soon. We'll need lots of pictures!

My cat is for sure pregnant, and I can clearly feel the kittens moving around in her belly. She has recently been rolling around a lot when i go to pet her... Is that normal? And could she possibly hurt the kittens?

Sorry, I feel like this is a really dumb question, but I couldn't find anything related to that.

It’s not a dumb question. It’s a question based on your concern for her and her little ones. None of those questions are ever dumb. I personally wouldn’t think it is causing injury, but I’m not a vet. Cats have been pregnant for centuries. Plus they are cats. Most cats steer clear instinctively of causing self damage. If anything it’ll mean the kittens will want to be massaged as they mature into adults.
Keep us posted!

Congratulations in advance!
Share the pics once the kitties are out :)

Just keep her strictly indoors especially at this time.

My male cat has recently when trying to mount my cat, and I was just wondering if it will hurt the kittens in anyway, and should I separate them? And since he's doing this should I be cautious of him around the kittens when they arrive?

I don't think it will hurt the kittens, but if she's bothered, give her a way to get away from him. Let one of them spend time in a separate room or whatever is needed. Extra stress isn't something a pregnant lady needs! You said he's neutered, right?

I'd keep him away from the kittens for a month-6 weeks at least. And then keep a close eye on him. He might try to play too rough with them.

Yes he is neutered, I have recently separated them just for precaution.

Her nipples are also really crusty, and I have been looking up things to do to make them not so dry but I have seen multiple different things like putting coconut oil, canola oil, or even vegetable oil. And I was just wondering what would be the best to put on them?

It's normal for a pregnant cat's nipples to develop a waxy, flaky, crusty layer in the last couple of weeks. There is nothing wrong with this, and you don't really need to do anything about it. If you want, you can gently pick off the biggest flakes or crusty bits (that's what I do). Some people put a little oil, but I would avoid putting too much stuff on the nipples... you want the nipples to smell like mom.

My baby girl is pregnant and we noticed around the 27th of March her babies moving and I believe today that she is in pre labor.

Update :):
She started labor at 3:02 and has given birth to 4 kittens , a ginger, a all black, a tuxedo one, and another tuxedo one but slightly more grey!
I still think there is 2 kittens but I know she is very tired. Right now, she is snuggling with them all.:lovecat:
