I watched the Thomasina movie with a little fussy kid. I'd never saw it and was expecting boredom. What a cute story, and that little kid stopped fussin and went into this trance watching that cat go through her lives.

Um...I think I kinda want one of those, too!Well, it's an alien cat that I like the best. It is a six-legged, empathic treecat named Nimitz, from the Honor Harrington series by David Weber. Sorry, Diamond, Seal and Leonid, but I want to be chosen by a treecat! When they find their soulmate, they scream with joy, run towards that person and jump in their arms.
EXCELLENT choices by all! There isn't one in the bunch that I wouldn't love to know purrsonally.

I am a library cataloger (cat-a-loger!), so I see a lot of children's books. I discovered Pete the Cat about 2 years ago. I thought he was black, but he's actually purple. Anyway, his sweet face looks so much like my Smedley, that I call Smedley "Pete" sometimes. It's the shape of Pete's face and those big, gold eyes that look so much like Smedley! (Smedley has a white stripe down his nose, though). I love Pete the Cat and his groovy adventures!
