Do you powder up the pill for her and she eats it without issue? I've been looking for some kind of arthritis relief for Krista that doesn't come with the GI distress and soup poops that Cosequin and GlycoFlex cause her.

Yea I just crush it and mix it in with her food. She's usually super picky but she doesn't even notice this stuff is in there. On Vitacost it's only around $11 for 100 pills so it's very affordable.

I found the extra strength at a local vitamin store. Figure double strength of weak sauce is still weak sauce but I have to give her less of it.

The extra strength is new! I'm jealous! I just ordered 2 bottles of the regular stuff but I might order extra strength when Vitacost starts carrying it.

They have a mobility formula for arthritis but it wasn't on 1-800-PetMeds so I'm not sure if it's safe. It may be worth asking your vet about if the regular kind doesn't work. There's also a liquid form that other sites say is safe but the dosing is unclear. If it works but she doesn't like the tablets you could look into the drops.

Ok well I will never be taking the mobility formula but it sounds like something cats might like. Ingredients include pig placenta, pig embryo, pig cartilage, pig umbilical cord, and pig placenta :barfgreen::barf:

Can I get a side of bacon with my mobility?

I like that the T-Relief is chewable and nothing weird. I gave Krista 1/4 of the extra strength and ate the rest myself. Maybe we'll both get some relief! :yess:

If she noticed it, she didn't show it. Another clean plate. I will not be offering her anymore until I see her next poop(s) tomorrow.

I hope it sits well with her! I don't think there's anything in it that would cause an upset stomach.

You never know with a senior IBD kitty. I didn't realize glucosamine-chondroitin was going to be so problematic until we tried it.

I didn't see any noticeable signs of gut distress last night. Now it's the butt returns we wait on.:fear:

I may have gone to half a pill too soon. We got two bonus poops (slightly soft and soft-serve) and two barfs after that. About eight hours after the half pill. She’s a little smelly with a poopfoot but otherwise seems no worse for the wear and even went back to finish her plate. Unrelated: I think I’ve discovered that she has a tuna sensitivity. Tuna flakes are a daily treat and exercise program. So I think I’ll cool it on the trelief for a few days while we work out whether the tuna flakes can be reduced or if it has to be eliminated altogether. Then maybe I’ll take it slower next time. I just want her to have relief as quickly as I can get it to her.

Maybe extra strength is a little too strong for her tummy? It would be hard to cut one of the tablets into 1/8 but it may be worth a shot after the tuna trial.

I could finish that bottle myself and pick up the regular strength for her instead. I can also get a pill cutter to start with 1/4 of the regular strength, which would be 1/8 of the extra strength. She barfed again this morning. So give that one a rest. Give her Rawz rabbit a rest too. So now we start again on Rawz duck which isn't in her rotation but the recipe should be close enough to the other flavors. A night of half portions and low/no tuna should be enough to reboot her.
