Does anyone here have a feline family member who has been diagnosed with Tetrology of Fallot? (A 4-part heart defect).

My intention is to find folks to exchange ideas and information with regarding this heart defect. I adopted my second cat, that I named IsaBella, with Radial Hypoplasia in November and she was more recently diagnosed with Tetrology of Fallot. She has a cardiologist and is on medication.

The cardiologist stated that cats with this defect generally do not live more than a year, year and a half and my Isabella is over 2-1/2 years old now, so she wants to live. She is exercise intolerant, but does like to play. It's difficult watching her breathing after she plays, eats, crosses the room, etc.

Would love to have someone to correspond with that is familiar with Tetrology of Fallot. I love my special needs babies more than anything and just want IsaBella to have the best quality of life that she can have.

Thank you for reading. Here are a couple of photos of precious IsaBella!
p.s. I don't know how to get just one image, sorry for the doubles.

Hi. Oh sweet IsaBella! Poor baby. It's so good that she is still doing pretty well!

I have not seen any postings on this site about this particular heart defect, and I did a quick search too. But, that doesn't mean some members won't come along and have some information to offer. Be patient, some times it just them awhile to have time to log on and read posts.

I did see this forum on feline heart disease - perhaps, they might have some members who have experience with this??

My gracious sakes, what a darling cat!!
How are you both today?
Thank you for asking! <3 IsaBella and the clowder are doing very well today! I just wish for IsaBella that she didn't struggle so much with her breathing with any kind of exercise. She does like to play, but has to take multiple breaks to get her breathing back to normal.

She is a little beauty queen! So are my precious others, Squint, Olivia (in the profile pic) and Beanie a/k/a Mr. Beans! :-D
