Winchester Winchester Glad you're feeling better. Poor baby, allergies to meds and you have migraines. :hugs:

  1. Smelly boxes
  2. Tea x 2
  3. Attempted to do something with my scandalous hair. It needs cut and colored. :paperbag:

Winchester Winchester -- i'm glad you're starting to feel better! :agree:

today i've kept the wood stove going. i've made a couple phone calls.

i'll wash the dishes, scoop the litter boxes, and make two liters of soda. then i'll spend some time with my budget.

after that, i may play some computer games and continue with a jigsaw puzzle, or watch some tv. i'm still tired from yesterday, which pushed me to my limit.

micknsnicks2mom micknsnicks2mom You did a lot the other day! Relax today, too!
I feel pretty good this morning! :banana1:

It's dreary, rainy and very chilly. The wind is really gusting outside, too. But it's Friday and we have a weekend coming up, so life is good.
  • Breakfast for the kids, walked four miles, and got ready for work
  • Must scoop the boxes tonight
  • Do a quick vacuum
And I think that will be it

Pepe and Amber had us up bright and early this morning. Amber started yelling at 3:30, with Pepe following around 4:00. We gave up, gave them all breakfast at 4:45. Rick is sleeping on the couch and I'm back here with my coffee. Pepe is still yelling about something; Rick just told her to PLEASE SHUT THE H*** UP! It's gotten to the point where, if she's awake, she's yelling. It's sleep or yell. No happy medium.

We were going to do some outside work today, but the wind is still gusting merrily along, so that may get done some other time.
  • Breakfast for the kids, drinking my coffee now, Rick will scoop when he gets up from his morning nap
  • Errands: Banking, Lowes
  • Vacuum, swiffer, wipe down the kitchen and bathroom
I want to bake something, but don't know what yet

Mia6 Mia6 Thanks for thinking about her. No. She can hear quite well and she's not blind. I'm always "testing" the kids; I'll snap my fingers behind them to see how they respond. Or I'll wave my fingers in the air to see how well they follow me. Things like that. She's not deaf or blind. I checked Amber, too; she's not either. I'm not convinced, though, that Amber isn't dealing with some kind of dementia. Maybe Pepe as well; she definitely has periods where "the lights are on, but nobody's home".

I think The Beast is becoming hard of hearing, although she does have selective deafness.

As for something to bake, I'm thinking of a blueberry buckle today.

today i've kept the wood stove going.

i'll wash the dishes, scoop the litter boxes. i'll be baking carob cherry brownies today, using maraschino cherries. :yummy: and i'll make two liters of soda, too.

i'll also spend some time with my budget.

this evening i'll either play some computer games and continue with a jigsaw puzzle, or watch something on tv.

The blueberry buckle was yummy. We gave some to my sister and BIL and there might be a slice or two left yet. I enjoyed a slice with my coffee this morning. I dearly love blueberries. We're saving a big chunk to take up to Rick's mom tonight.

I think I may have broken my toe. It's the one next to the little toe on my right front. I got it caught under the gate yesterday while I was vacuuming. It's all black and it's about three times its normal size. Doesn't look good. It hurts, but I can walk on it, although I haven't tried to put shoes on yet. That could be ugly. I need to start wearing shoes in the house, simply because of those blasted gates.
  • Breakfast for the kids, emptied the dishwasher, and am sitting back here with my coffee. Rick stripped the bed and put the sheets in the washer. I asked him to get clean sheets from the linen closet; I've had it up to "here" with snowflake anything! Took the snowflake tablecloth off the kitchen table and replaced it with a more spring-like cover. Rick took the snowflake comforter off the bed and got out our spring comforter. And I took down all of our snowmen decor and put it away yesterday. No more snow! (At least in the house)
  • Sorted the laundry on the bathroom floor. I have five loads to do today, since I didn't do any last Wednesday
  • Rick was outside for a while yesterday, but the wind was too gusty to really do much. It was cold and he bagged it. He's going out again today to do some raking and to pick up branches and such. He's waiting for the wind to die down, so he can do some burning. While he's outside, I'm going to re-arrange some cabinets in the kitchen.
  • Visit with Rick's mom. The quarantine has been lifted, Rick and I both feel OK, so it's time. We'll have to wear masks to visit, but that's OK. I need to get some new library ebooks on her Nook.

Winchester Winchester -- oh no!!! that toe must be screaming with pain. :fear: i'm so glad the quarantine has been lifted, and i'm sure your MIL will be so very happy to see you both!

today i'll wash the dishes, scoop the litter boxes, and keep the wood stove going. i'll be baking again today, two 'It Won't Last Cake' bundt cakes. it's similar to fruit cake, but no candied fruit. that difference makes it so i really like the cake. after they're in the oven, i'll wash the dishes i've generated from making the batter for them. once the cakes are out of the oven, i'll cool them a bit, then into the fridge for the night -- i seem to get less crumbs from slicing, when i've refrigerated bundt cakes.

Toe seems to be a bit better. I can put shoes on, but they hurt. I'm still walking though. micknsnicks2mom micknsnicks2mom That cake sounds yummy!
  • Breakfast for the kids, walked four miles, and got ready for work
  • I'm going to the place where we got our shed a few years ago to see what they have in the way of two-story sheds. Thought I'd run up during my lunch hour. Just to see what they have.
  • Must grab some groceries tonight after work
  • And scoop the boxes
I think that's it

  • Scooped. Got a new box for downstairs yesterday and new litter. The lightweight stuff did nothing for odor control so I went back to Fresh Step. What a difference.
  • Tea, going to make my second cup.
  • Re-washing clothes that Callie had a nap on. She's shedding so much that I decided to just wash all of them.

I went to the place where we bought our storage shed. They don't make what I'm looking for and he really didn't want to deal with it as they're getting into their busy season. That's OK....I'll keep looking around.

Toe is better, thanks! I am walking, but am walking in socks for now at home. Instead of using the treadmill while wearing socks, which is an accident just waiting to happen, I'm walking around the house upstairs. A walk is a walk is a walk. Those gates are going to be the death of me, I swear.
  • Breakfast for the kids, walked four miles, and got ready for work
  • Must scoop boxes and do a quick vacuum tonight
  • We might go down to Lowes to look at front doors and screen doors
  • Going to HR this morning to talk over my retirement requirements and how I need to do things
And that's it. Not a lot going on around here.

The local shed guy sent me an email, pretty much saying what he had already told me: too busy right now, doesn't want to design something new, etc. I sent an email back, thanking him for his time. We'll probably end up dealing with Unlimited Sheds in Morgantown, PA. I have an email into them, detailing what I'm looking for.
  • Breakfast for the kids, walked four miles, sorted through the laundry, and got ready for work. Rick has a dental appt this morning, so he's off work today.
  • Laundry night - Rick may do it this afternoon (I hope!)
  • Trash night - Rick will do it tonight and take care of the boxes
Not much going on around here

today i've kept the wood stove going, moved a load of laundry from the washer to the dryer as well as started a second washer load, currently have a loaf of bread making in the bread machine, put the last stuffed pepper in a container/labeled/froze it, and moved 3 servings of lasagna to the fridge to thaw.

i'll wash the dishes, scoop the litter boxes. i'll fold and put away the laundry. i'll slice the loaf of bread machine bread, once it's cooled. and i'll make 2 or 3 liters of root beer. i'll also spend a few minutes with my budget today.

in between doing things, and after i've finished those things, i'll play some computer games, continue with a jigsaw puzzle, and watch some tv.

i went to the local produce auction this week and brought home two 24 ounce bags of marshmallows -- will be used in making fudge, and likely will toast some over the gas range burner too! :D

Wowza, as I said before, you are so organized. You should be running a Fortune 500 company.
