I found out what was making Demi puke. It was the Temptations treats! Man, I threw away so much expensive dry food thinking that is what caused it! I'm such a moron! I never thought the treats could do it because he only gets a few every day. I had seen that warning about Temptations before, but I just laughed and rolled my eyes until one of my good friends posted about it. Anyway, no more puke. Yay! :cheerleader:

That's great to hear! I gave the Temptaions a shot once, but after reading about it here, well, out the window it went (actually it went in the trash)! ....

Here's how the kid's looking. Man he's getting big, and picking up a lot of weight!

I'm planning on starting a thread in the nutrition boards, once I upload a few more photos. Gonna catch some Z's first though!

Pops

PS if that grey tom that was hunting both Santi and his kitten saw Santi now. I donno know, but man it might get really messy if he tried anything! ... :insertevillaugh:

Yeah, it took forever to figure out what was causing the vomiting. I'm so happy!
Thanks for the photo, Santi looks so healthy. :)

It's tough when trying to figure out stuff like that, especially when it comes to food! But yeah, glad you figured it out!

Santi says thanks!

PS just took a bunch of photos, so much as I drained the battery and filled the memory card in the camera twice! ...

OK, nuff fooling around for one morning. You know where I'm headed! ... :p

So where are the Santi photos you promised? I read your post in the other thread, do you really have 4 cat trees? :eek2:
I don't even have one. I just cleared off the entertainment system for them to climb on and I push stuff up to windows so they can climb up. They have 9 window perches inside and 2 in the garage. And they have the bookshelf going around my bedroom that I turned into the kitty highway. Poor man's (or woman's) way I guess. :D

I reread ...:read:...my post re. taking a bunch of pitchers .. :camera:, but I donno bout promising anything. ... :dunno: ... :p

I still gotta edit, and resize the darn pitchers, so soon! ... ;)

Yeah, we got 4 cat trees placed around the house! Three Molly and Friends 54" trees, and the one from Petsmart. However, what you have set up is really cool. ...

Hi A azpops
I found your old Santi thread if you want to tell us about Lil Cal here. I still can't believe you never told us about him. :headscratch:

You guys have inspired me to go a little higher class with my cats' food. Are you still doing grain-free? I'm going to try it for a month. Wish me luck, I'm gonna need it with these two ruffians. :)

Here's our new music thread if you wanna post some tunes:

 ... Yeah, he's kind of a "Secret Agent" sorta fellow! This is Santi and his Kitten's thread, so .....

Seriously, I figured he'd pop in, in his own time! Which was in that No Chicken Food Thread! ... :insertevillaugh:

Anyways, it was a BIG decision when I couldn't find a place for him (or would be on a wait list, once I had him vetted, etc.), is when I decided (once I'd catch the little guy) to give him a home. This was after doing a bit of talking / persuasion before taking that step., as you'all know this is not my house.

It's always been interesting to me, when I think about stuff, in regards to taking a path, then finding yourself in an area of life of which I would never, ever, have thought I would be in. Did I say that right?

If I took the job in CA. I wouldn't have found you'all, as I would have, or was thinking about adopting an older dog, around 5 to 7 years old (which is normally harder to adopt), pulling him or her from a kill shelter. I'm on a 30 day notice, so I figured, I'd have at the least a couple of weeks for the dog to decompress, get acquainted, as well as teaching the dog a few basic commands, before we headed out to our new home. Which in that job, would have been a year, with the possibility of extending for another year, plus.

The dog would also have had a complete going over by DOC, blood work, the works. This is so I was aware what the dog may need, if any thing, medically.

Anyways, one day I'll start a dual kid thread fur the both of them! ...

I got called out this morning, and I'm still up, but wanted to catch up with you!

OH, I took a picture this morning of the food which at best got a sniff, but after opening the can, man, I thought we'd have sure winner. But nope, didn't happen.

In regards to the dry, I just went ahead an ordered 4, 2 lb. bags of Dr. Elsey's.

Have a GREAT day! I know, you know, what I'm gonna do! ....

Dr. Elsey's is a little too high class for me, but I found some cheaper grain-free dry foods at Walmart and Tractor Supply. We'll see how it goes.

I think I'm going to order some of those Bonito Flakes that everybody talks about on here. Demi has been refusing all wet food lately.

Hope you got some good sleep. Have a good night at work!

*Jumping in unasked, as usual* -- Bonito flakes are a sure way to entice a reluctant cat! At least, they always have been in this furmily! They also have bonito powder in a shaker can, like a spice, that you can sprinkle on foods.
That's great that you've found some good food varieties -- we don't have a Tractor Supply nearby, and I don't shop at Walmart, but I hear good things about TS!

Thank you! I'll go order some now on Amazon, they are pretty affordable.
I couldn't live without Walmart, I buy everything there since I'm so cheap, I mean frugal. ;)
Oh, me too, M maggiedemi ! But I loathe that corporation's treatment of its employees -- I have friends who work/ed for them -- and the fact that they storm into cities hell-bent on shutting down small businesses, as almost happened to our favorite nursery. Thankfully, the nursery got a petition going and its many loyal fans, including my ex and I, signed it. They won. Walmart destroys wherever it goes in. Just sayin'.

Petco sells Bonito flakes, and probably the powder, too, for an alternative.
