I rarely have the opportunity to photograph cats outdoors. But on my way home from the Cat Writer's Association Conference in Houston this June, I took a short detour out to Montgomery, Texas to photograph some beautiful cats. The owners' cats live in a giant indoor/outdoor catico. Although I chose to shoot mostly indoor portraits, below are a few outdoor images from the session.

Hello My Friends
Great photos. Ginger is envious of the cats with the wonderful outdoor cat patio. We have an enclosed garden but it's just a wasteland right now. We tried having a garden last summer but the mice got in and ate everything. But it's still a cool place for a kitty to be safely outside.

This is good dirt.

Oh yeah, really good dirt!

But the view is better from up here. Too much fun.

That brings back memories (nightmares?) of the evening we got home and there was Miss Eleanor stuck up in a tree in the wind and rain. I had to get my ladder out to fetch her down, wrapped in an old jacket.
Oh my! Glad that she was okay.

Luckily the tree Thor was in is pretty short, so he wasn't in much danger!
