Do you ever receive odd texts about your cat?

I am upstairs and my husband is downstairs on his computer for a work meeting. I just got a text from his that said "cat pooped". :flail: I asked if I had to come down and scoop right away because we are expecting a plumber here soon. I got back - "Yes, its very fresh". :flail:

Do you ever get strange texts about your cat?

Apollo is my hubby’s kid. There are days I get home earlier from work than my hubby. His cat sometimes complains loudly because I am not daddy. Sometimes I will send him a text telling him that his cat is complaining because I am not daddy. Apollo has a specific meow when he is unhappy daddy is not home. There are times he follows me around the house yelling at me for not being daddy. Apollo stops yelling at me when daddy gets home. Sometimes he let’s daddy know he is unhappy about him being at work by climbing in my lap after dinner when daddy goes to pet him. He stays in my lap for a few minutes and then daddy is allowed to pet him.

I get texts FROM my cats.

When Rick is home, Mollipop will usually text me to complain and they usually end with "What is WRONG with him?".

"Mom! Dad forgot about lunch time! What is WRONG with him?"

"Mom! Dad yelled at me for picking on Muffin! What is WRONG with him?"

"Mom! Dad yelled at me for laying with Snoopy! What is WRONG with him?"
(Snoopy is our cookie jar and he lives above the cabinet in the kitchen. That's Molli's favorite spot, much to Rick's chagrin.)

And so on. Oh, and if we're out somewhere and won't be home right in time for their supper, Rick will call home and leave a message on the machine. "Good afternoon. We regret to inform you that we won't be home right away, so your dinner will be late tonight."

And the I get a text from Molli....
"Mom! Dad just called and said dinner will be late. What is WRONG with him?"

(My husband has a unique sense of humor.)

ETA: Bob, my co-worker has two gorgeous cats: Jasper and Hemi. Jasper has trouble pooping sometimes. Now that Bob knows what's going on, he keeps a good eye out and Jasper hasn't been having any problems. But the first time Jas had a problem and they went to the vet, the vet gave him some kind of laxative. Later on that night, I got a text from Bob: "And we have poop!" I sent back a "YAY for Poop!!" He told me, "You know, you're the only person I could send that text to who would completely understand!"

It's usually me texting DD about the girls. Lilith is very vocal and often sounds like a toddler age girl. She'll run into DD's room and call out, "Hello?" I text her that Lily's looking for her. Or I tell her when Sophie's getting into mischief. Just about every day, I send her a picture of Sophie with her usual "HI SISTER!" Sometimes she cooperates other times not.
