I threw some raw cat food into the sink to thaw, and filled the sink with water. This thaws the food quicker, brings it closer to room temperature and usually repels cats.
I go out to the barn for a few, come in and Queen Bee is sitting on the floor sucking down chicken hearts from the sink like candy and she's soaked from her neck to her knees.
Then I got to thinking, one year we had fleas, and I gave the cats a bath. I only gave the cats a bath because my to do list said "I found fleas on Ty, Computer Cat, and Asthmatic Cat! Give the cats a bath". Oh boy. Do I look like an idiot? (Don't answer that.)
By the time I got to Queen Bee, I looked like something the cat dragged in and had saved her bath for last, partially out of dread and partially thinking that if the others didn't kill me dead, she'd finish the job. I started pouring water over her and she was cool as a cucumber. She didn't move and seemed to enjoy it.
She's weird, but she gets that from me I guess
I always thought cats hated water but she doesn't seem to mind it. Baby Girl either. The other night she was misbehaving (as usual ) and I flicked some water from my fingers at her, and she didn't run off, but attacked the water droplets as they hit her.
Whoever said humans are top of the food chain need to get with the program.
We can't possibly be the only people who have cats who actually like water, can we?
