So, here is the thing. My cat is not the most sociable or loving cat of them all. She generally hates everyone that comes to the house and she is not too crazy about those of us who live there either. I was fine with that, I love her anyway. But the problem is that she started to freak out and hiss and run from her tail incredibly loudly. The first time we tried taking her to the vet but as I said she doesn't like us, there is no way I can hold her peacefully. We got her to the vet once but the guy didn't even touch her and said her problem was behavioral. We took her back home and the attacks lasted about two weeks in total. Then for about 8 months she went back to her old ways, just to start with the tail again. That time I tried to give her something to get her to sleep so the vet could see her but there was nothing I could disguise the smell of those drops with. So I gave up with the vets because not even one that came to my house wanted to get near her. Then she stopped again. And as you can imagine, it's back. This time it has been a while and she doesn't show signs of stopping I try to play with her in case she is bored but even if she plays along, she sometimes turns her head to her tail and starts growling. I bought her a cool toy for her to play by herself and she hated it. I really want to help her but I don't know how. Everything I read about stress I tried. I gave her a little set of boxes that is just for her, I tried playing. I would really like to hear from someone whose cat went trough this and got over it. Thank you. I have a video but I can't post it here.
