They said it was going to be a big storm. I thought "we've had storms before". It's been snowing all day, but didn't start sticking until around 5:30 pm. It's now 10:15 pm and we already have 8" ( I just measured it). And, it's supposed to snow all day tomorrow. Non stop through tomorrow.
We are so snowed in.

I just measured (with a yardstick) and it's currently 16" and still coming down. It's past my knees. My dogs aren't even that tall. If they pee/poop in the house, we can't get mad. Good thing we have enough supplies to last.
Remember this is ARIZONA - not Fargo or somewhere in Canada.
This entire mountain is shut down. We aren't prepared for this.

Haha, yeah, I have a Facebook friend who is in Arizona right now. We're teasing that she brought the snow with her and the locals will run her out of town with pitchforks ;).
I hope she's not in the White Mountains. Every highway is closed in both directions. We are totally cut off.

I've got it pretty good. We didn't get any snow ( daytime is in the 50s ). Just ten miles from here in Scottsdale they got six inches. I moved from the east coast to get away from all this!

Cave Creek (which the news calls North Scottsdale) gets snow more often than people think. This isn't the first time, but it is the most snow at once.

We need propane. They deliver this area on Wednesdays. They told us they would not deliver unless we snowplow the easement and driveway. HOW, do you snowplow a dirt easement and driveway? We may be able to pack it down a little so our cars can get through, but that's it.

My neighbor just came over with his bobcat (small tractor) that has a blade. He dug out our cars, pretty much snow plowed our drive and the drive to the propane tank. He's also doing the 2/10th's of a mile easement so that his wife can get out tomorrow. He's getting a 12 pack for this - he wouldn't take money.
I did notice that he didn't do it for the other person on the easement (the ones that think they own it).

Yeah, anyone who owns a Bobcat right now is raking it in. I heard about a kid in Seattle who has made $35,000 so far!

I have an all-purpose small tractor with a frontloader, but so far I've just been using the snowblower. If we get much more snow I might have to fire up the tractor. I'm not very confident in its use yet (just bought it last year) so I'm afraid I'll gouge the paved driveway. Maybe I'll start on the dirt area so at least I can repair a gouge more easily.

I filled up on propane last month when most of the snow had melted. Glad I did! I hope I don't need another fill until May or so and hopefully the snow will be gone by then.

That's a lot of money.

Up here, we have the mentality of neighbors take care of neighbors. That's the way it should be. I've helped them many times and if they need it, they just have to ask.

As I was typing this the wife just called and needs something...gotta go.
