Beautiful! Looking at your photos makes me teary-eyed. You've got a great family, Ms. Pepe. May you have many more wonderful and quality years ahead.Ms. Pepe says "Fank You!" for all the birthday wishes!
Really, for a 23-years old, she's not doing too badly. She has her bad days, but she's gets around very well, her lungs are definitely in fine shape and she certainly lets us know she's still feisty. She still likes to play with the red laser light, even though she's not as quick as she used to be. Her fur is a mess and we keep trying to keep her unmatted, but that's not working out so great.
This was taken last spring; I wanted to show you her pretty face.
And this was just taken a couple nights ago. She had just finished eating and was getting ready for a nap in her clothes basket. We've had that clothes basket in the living room now for a good 18 years or so and I think that, at some point, every kitty has used it. Now, it's strictly Pepe's bed; she won't allow anybody to nap there.
She's the feline Betty White.Thank you!
She (and her siblings) were born in a clothes basket back in our bedroom. Our house is all she's ever known. She grew up with her mom (Whisper), her aunt (Bootser, Whisper's litter sister), BooBoo and Spike (her brothers), and her honorary Aunt Banshee and Uncle Hydrox. Not many kittens have the luxury of growing up with their entire family. They were known as The RugCats. Ms. Pepe is the last of the original RugCats; she's the only one left. And we're sure she's lonely; she's used to cuddling with BooBoo. When the other cats were still here, they all cuddled together in huge furry piles. Now she cuddles with Rick; Rick is her person.
Thank you for her birthday wishes. We think she's a pretty special cat.
I don't know if she's the oldest TCS kitty, but she's certainly amongst the oldest!
It sounds like she's had a long, purrfect life. Maybe/probably you've posted pics before, but I'd love to see some of a young Ms. Pepe, as well as her feline family, if you have some easy to post. She (and her siblings) were born in a clothes basket back in our bedroom.
