Been my experience that shipping from Australia TO U.S. is insanely expensive>
I use Advecta II for Large Dogs.
The ingredients and identical to Advantage II for Cats. The ingredient percentages are the same as well. The price is the only difference I've found.
I just use a syringe to get the correct dosage based on the weight of each cat.
Five cats averages out to right at $5, per cat, per month.
Although, the big one never gets a full dose by weight. I tried it once and it just runs down his neck, down his back, and makes a huge mess. So, he only gets about half a dose...but it still seems to work.
This isn't so much advice. It's simply how I've done it for past few years.
I would think Revolution would be better than Advantage or Advecta, but, like you said....Revolution can get expensive, quickly.

I am curious as well, my rabbit can only use Revolution kitten formula. I checked the website and they say the shipping to US is $7 for two week shipping.

Well, I'm gonna be the guinea pig because I just placed an order. And the shipping was free! Ten to eighteen business days though, which I don't think is too bad, considering it's coming from Australia. I got fifteen doses of Revolution for under eighty bucks! That's a massive, massive savings compared to US prices.

The last time I ordered for my rabbit it was $50 for three doses. If it is good and gets through customs good it would be amazing.

I'll let you know once I get it. I wonder if there's a way to call the manufacturer with a lot number or something similar and verify its authenticity? I'm at least going to try. Despite the massive TNR efforts on all of my properties, our feral population is growing and it's become so costly to keep all these cats in food, vet care and flea/worm medications.

My Revolution came today, and I gotta say that I'd be shocked if it wasn't the real deal. I took it to my vet and he said it was legit. We compared the boxes, vials, etc., from Australia to those in his office and all the markings are all identical. Even the individual dose vials have a batch number etched into the very bottom of the plastic container. The pamphlet/crimp was identical and sealed. I've dosed several of the ferals where I am and I've been keeping an eye on them. I'm really pleased. This will really help our feral budget!

Do you need a prescription for it? I'm actually going to Australia this year so I'm wondering if I should just buy a whole bunch and bring it back here!

I ordered 12 doses. My two cats have Frankenstein fleas. Both Advantage II and Frontline failed to kill the fleas. And my cats are strictly indoor. I'm pretty sure the fleas got into my house by hitching a ride on my trousers!

I selected the second delivery option. Hoping that will speed up delivery.

lavishsqualor lavishsqualor -- Do you remember the shipping option you selected? And how long did delivery take? I make it out that your delivery took 12 days.

Hi ArchyCat, twelve days seems about right and I think that's especially impressive because I didn't pay for any upgraded shipping. I chose the least costly option. Twelve days from Australia to Florida, USA, isn't bad!

Thanks for the answer, Lavish. As I said earlier, I paid for the second delivery option. When it arrives, I will post, so folks have an idea if it is worth their money.

We shall see!

Suru Suru Did you place the order on Feb 21? And did you use the default shipping or one of the upscale shipping levels?

I placed my order on February 22.

My Revolution order arrived today. I shall see how well it does on my Frankenstein fleas!

I used the intermediate shipping option. And my order arrived today, March 2. That took 8 days for delivery. And I live about 25 miles south of Houston.

I placed my order on February 22.

I ordered to my mom’s house in Australia and she brought it over for me. I bought it from budgetpetproducts.com.au

8 days is pretty good for delivery!

Well, I applied Revolution on both cats. Walker. a male tuxedo, and Mamie, a tortoiseshell. Mamie has had a severe flea allergy reaction. Bumps on her chin, neck and chest. She is so upset by it, that she perches on items well above the floor. Of course, that doesn't help.

One day latter, I flea combed both cats. Nothing but dead fleas on both cats. Mamie is still perching well above the floor. Mamie also has a lot of flea dirt. Her flea infestation was much heavier than on Walker. Does anyone have any thoughts as to why that might be?
