There's a smell in my apartment; it's not urine or poo, but maybe the litter itself. I've been using Dr. Elsey's Respiratory Relief Clay litter, and the smell smells like the clumps (again, not urine, but the clay itself). I started mixing it with Dr. Elsey's RR silica gel, but it hasn't helped. I'm in the process of transitioning to the Breeze system with pellet litter. I'm hoping this will help, but in the meantime, how do I get this lingering smell out since traditional air fresheners are out of the picture?
I have 4 air purifiers, 3 of which are in the living space where the smell is, and though they are supposed to help with odors, it lingers...
I have a mason jar of baking soda with a plastic covering with holes poked in the top by the front door, and one in the bathroom where the litter box is, but I don't think it's cutting it. Actually, I smell it more in the living space than the bathroom...
Also, my window only opens 1-2 inches out, not up. But there's a smoker below me anyway, who without fail, always has a cigarette outside as soon as I open the window.
Any suggestions?
Thank you
