Hi everyone,
We recently adopted Claudio from a local rescue, who rescued him when he was in some pretty bad shape on the streets a few months ago. He's almost 6 months and just a bundle of cuddles and love. They told us he's a brown tabby. I'm just head over heals with his pattern and his fur is so incredibly soft.

From the minute he entered our home, he picked up a mouse toy (we have an older cat) and proceeded to engage us in a game of fetch, which is his absolute favorite activity--he's full of energy. Claudio is a purr machine with a very loud purr at that, and a chirpy meow. He is always sniffing everything, and if the purr is loud, his sniffing is even louder like maybe he's a big puppy--hehehe.

He definitely loves his new human family and takes turns following each one of us around--so close you a destined to trip over him. Claudio definitely loves attention. I would like to know what his potential breed might be in case there's some more I can be doing to help him develop and thrive.

Thanks,
Jan

WOW!! He's simply GORGEOUS :heartshape:!

I am thrilled to bits that you-all and he found each other, how wonderful to read of a success beyond all measure :redheartpump::redheartpump:

I'm not sure that there is much more you could do, from your descriptions of such a happy, joyful and loving household, beyond ensuring he's eating as much as he can eat for the next months until he's at least a year old, possibly longer while he's in his major growth mode, and lots of fresh clean water :) (is your older kitty ok? If there are any issues there, you could start a thread and we can help).

If he's (--by his own nature no matter what his genetic makeup is) more of a climbing cat, you could put up shelves and have a couple of cat trees. If he likes lower areas/the floor better, try cardboard boxes of different sizes for him to tuck himself into and play with. Music for cats, streaming videos for cats, bird watching - some people hang bird feeders so their cats can enjoy the activity.

Claudio is adorable! And I love his fur pattern! I would describe him as a brown classic tabby Domestic Shorthair. “Marbled” or “bullseye” are other names for his pattern, so you can use whichever one you like best. :)

His pattern is quite unusual. Almost if there was several different patterns in there. But the dominating one is the classic or marbled tabby, as stated earlier.

Beautiful boy - both in appearance and in behaviour.
