We bought a Mercer Hybrid from Wayfair. We have had it five years now and still love it. We will get the same if it is still available when we need a new one.

We have a full. I would say that it is because our room is small, but I would still get a full even if our room was bigger.

We just replaced our 20+ year old mattress. It was long overdue! We wanted a king, but couldn't get a king up our stairs so we got a split king, and it's worked out great. This is the one we got:

https://www.mattressfirm.com/simmon...nance-13.5-inch-plush-mattress/mfi112298.html

We got it from Mattress Firm when they were having one of their sales, but it was still a huge sticker shock. We had to finance it. I would never have believed that one day I would finance a mattress! We tried out all of the mattresses in the store and went with Plush because it's between soft and hard. Just about perfect.

It is coil, pocket coil. It isn't flappable. They claim it's better to not be flippable because they can build it up and not have to work from the middle to do both sides. I don't remember all the details. I did a lot of research on it before we bought because I felt like I was getting ripped off if we couldn't flip it.

Bottom line is despite the price and how long I'm going to be paying for it (lol), I think we made the right choice.

AbbysMom AbbysMom I just got a coupon in the mail for a well known popular local furniture store. It's 15% off or up to 72 months no interest. It can only be used in store. PM me if you would like it.

Mattress firm is offering king for the size of queen, free adjustable base, and either 24, 36, 48, 60, or 72 month financing depending on how much you spend. We bought ours at Mattress Firm, and also just bought one from them for my father recently. If you get the adjustable base, you don't need box springs. Keep in mind the price quoted by most of these places is for mattress only, and you'll end up paying almost as much for the box springs.

Nope! My 8 lbs Krista would figure out how to use up a King too. She knows which side of the bed is mine so she takes the entire thing except for a sliver enough for me to climb in. Then she climbs on top of me to ensure the whole bed and its contents are hers too.

Same here. Lily's about 5 pounds and Sophie's about 6. When they get settled in, I often have to lay across the top of the mattress because they are hogging the rest of it. Lily's favorite plush blanket is off limits to anyone else. I picked it up the other night to arrange it for her so she could snuggle and I got yelled at.

We replaced two mattresses about three years ago. I wanted ones that could be flipped over. I believe they last longer. We bought Avalon mattresses made in Dunn, North Carolina. We love them. They are made by the Bemco Mattress Co.

Raddisson uses Sleep Number beds in their rooms. I have never slept well on one of those. It always felt like I was dialing in how much I wanted it to sag, and still not support me the way I needed it. Also, from what I remember from 20 years ago, the bed comes in 18 (!!) pieces. Keep your boxes until you're sure you won't send it back at the end of the 100 nights. I think it cost me an extra $100 to custom make some boxes to send back some of the bigger pieces.
They brought ours out and installed it completely. It didn't look complicated at all. And the pump is virtually silent. You're supposed to sleep on a number a couple of days to see if it's right for you. I've never slept better than I do on my Sleep Number.

we bought a serta, king sized, new box springs, too, and have been very happy with it.
:winner:

After A LOT of online research we went out Saturday and bought a
"Serta iComfort Hybrid Blue Fusion 1000 Luxury Firm". Consumer Reports recommends it, we liked it and also know of someone that has this mattress and is very happy with it.

It was on sale plus we got the box spring for free. We had to buy a king-sized bed as well. the bed is out of stock but the
should receive it tomorrow and it is all scheduled to be delivered on Wednesday. :crossfingers: I'm going to have to call tomorrow to make sure the bed came in.

When I went
to pay for it, my credit card kept getting declined. :eek2: Apparently it had been compromised and my credit card company shut it down. I've been dealing with that mess all day.

I spent a fair amount of time yesterday buying new bedding and washing it. That's a headache in itself. I've still got to move some things around and clean others before
Wednesday morning and my husband and I will have to break down the old bed Wednesday morning.

We noticed
yesterday the water heater is leaking and have a call in to a plumber. I'm a bit :runaround:
