My family has had many cats when I was growing up, I first got my own cat “rebel” from my grandma when she came over with him as a baby in a card board box(he was obsessed with card board boxes the rest of his life) he was a if he kinda fits, he sits cat haha. she said she found him behind a 711 abandoned. He was the most affectionate cat I’ve ever owned. He’d sleep with me, follow me and meow very loudly. If I went to sleep with out him until I opened the door. He was also very vocal when it came to treats or simply talking to him. He loved being pet on his belly, and never minded being picked up. He’d fall asleep in my arms. He was a very big cat, got up to about 22 pounds, very active when played with but most of the time he was calm.

Out of all the cats we’ve owned, he was probably the best hunter, when he was a outside cat, he would almost always bring me birds, mice, lizards( im sorry if this offends anyone). He became an inside cat because of the neighbors dog almost going after him. After that I would take him on walks daily, didn’t need a leash. He would constantly make eye contact with me and follow me. He didn’t mind the little dogs we had, he was affectionate towards them.

I took him to the vet regularly to make sure he was healthy for the 14 years I had him, I asked the vet when he was little what kinda cat he was and all they told me is a “tuxedo cat mix” that didn’t really tell me much. Unfortunately when it got close to the 14th year. He developed tumors on his stomach, I did everything I could to save him, but I came home to him passed away on my sweatshirt in my room. Probably the worst heartbreak I’ve ever felt.

I’m sorry for the long history, but I’m hoping the way I explained how he acted would help. Im new to this website, so if I did something wrong, please let me know.

I’m just trying to find out what kinda breed he was because I’ve never met a cat like him( I know that might be impossible).

A very handsome black and white domestic shorthair.
You probably never will meet another cat just like him, because you shared a very special bond. But there are lots of cats out there that you can form a new special bond with! I know that can seem impossible, but it's true. :redheartpump:

He was a very handsome boy. I have always loved tuxedo cats. There is something "mysterious" in them. :)

I am so sorry that you have lost him, but at least you gave him the best years of his life. The bond that you shared cannot be replaced or forgotten. Yet as what m3rma1d said, you can form a new bond with another cat if you just allow them in your heart again.

Most cats are considered DSH, DMH and DLH unless there are papers from a certified breeder.

What a beautiful story you shared together. :)

His muzzle was quite prolonged.

My guess is he had a siamese nearby in his background. Natural father?
