I don't remember - did you say they gave you antibiotics? If not, it's possible that you do have strep and you got a false negative. I once had a false negative; they said if it wasn't strep, it was probably mono. Gave me antibiotics and said if they didn't work, they would diagnose mono but if they did, they were calling it strep. They worked.
They didn't give me antibiotics. Just said rest and take ibuprofen. I think I might be going in again today.

I've also lost like 6lbs in the past week. I mean, I'm trying to lose weight, but that seems way too fast. So I need to get this thing under control whatever it is. I might just demand medicine, lol.

Wow! I've actually tried this before when using the Furminator on Felix. Didn't know it was an actual thing. . .

Lari Lari - Reminds me of that mysterious stomach ailment I had a few years ago. It affected my entire digestive system. I really thought I was going to die. But they told me they couldn't do anything so I had to wait it out. Boy, was that one hell of a wait. I think I missed weeks of school because of it.

Lucifer fans, take note.
There is supposed to be 2 bonus episodes airing in late May prior to the release of season 4. Unfortunately, I still haven't been able to find out when that is yet.
Two "bonus" Lucifer episodes are set to air
YAY! Best news of the day, so far!

Well, it was COLD here last night...cold for us. About 25 degrees, with wind chill of 0. But for us, that's VERY cold. I went out about midnight to put a fresh heated rice bag in the New and Improved Secret Feral Shelter, and when I lifted the lid, FIVE pairs of eyes looked up at me! All six of us froze, then I slllooooooly and genly laid the rice bag in the shelter, and closed the lid again. I'm happy to report that it was significantly warmer in there than outside, even without a bag.

Take care off of you. I know what it was like at the beginning of the year with negative temps (hasn't done that for 10 years), and we never got below -10°. I can't imagine how cold all of you are.
Please stay warm and safe.

Oh, I bet they loved the heated rice bag. Do you know if they are related? Are you able to pet any of them?

I'm also glad they have a warm place to stay!

Well, I tested negative for mono, and she said my throat wasn't even red or swollen despite having a hard time swallowing and it being tender to the touch. She didn't think I needed antibiotics, but I talked her into them anyway in case there was something bacterial going on, with a promise that if I wasn't feeling much better in 48-72 hours I'd stop taking them and actually make an appointment with my real doctor instead of just going to urgent care.

Cross your fingers that here is just a bit of bacteria stuck back there and I'll feel better and not something worse like my thyroid or who knows what else? Meanwhile, since the urgent care was in a Jewel, I bought myself three boxes of popsicles, plus a frappuccino from the in store Starbucks, because I'm having a much easier time swallowing cold than hot at the moment.

Oh, the toddler years are gonna be fun. Aedan had a massive meltdown and threw his ladybug toy across the room - pretty impressive, considering it's kind of a big toy - because it was turned off so the buttons weren't working. I turned it on for him and then he was happy but wow!

In his defense, he didn't take a very long nap so he was pretty cranky. He just fell asleep again. He's a strong little booger, though.

My cousin's kid started throwing fits before he could walk. Not a full fit, though; if he didn't like what was going on he would just throw himself on the floor, no screaming or anything, he'd just go limp and not move. He's always been big for his age so he's hard to move when he's dead weight. He's 2 1/2 now, weighs 35 pounds and still does the same thing. I think it's hilarious but I'm pretty sure his mom doesn't think so :D.

When I was growing up the girl across the street would throw screaming temper tantrums we could clearly hear at our house. That girl had a pair of lungs! When she got tired of screaming, she would hold her breath until she got her way. Her mother was afraid she'd die from it but her doctor assured her that either she'd give up and breathe or she'd pass out and start breathing. Either way, she was in no danger. Her family then began to ignore the tantrums and she gave up. Peace reigned.

Have you ever noticed that your toes and your teeth are the most sensitive parts of your body. Just tapping your toe on something makes you drop and scream.

Ouchies!!!

My mom dropped a cutting board on her food once. She had to wear a boot for months. She still has a dent on top of her foot from it.
