Hmmmmmmmmm...let's just do a fun one.

What fictional character do you think would be boring to meet in real life?

For me, Nancy Drew comes to mind. She was just so prim and proper, and the way she led that poor boy around on a leash drove me nuts. I was more a "Trixie Belden" kinda gal!

I would have to say Superman. Don't know what all the fuss was. I liked Batman. :dunno:

I liked Trixie Belden. And I preferred Batman over Superman.

My granddaughter is turning into an avid reader. I asked her if she's read the Nancy Drew series. She looked at me, scrunched her face up, and said, "I prefer the Hardy Boys!" Well, OK then! She wants to read the Spellsinger series by Alan Dean Foster and our son told her she can.....when she's older. He doesn't think Mudge would be a good influence on her. :)

Anyway, back on track (sorry): Barbie. There were a few Barbie books out when I was a kid. I had them and read them. Even back then I wasn't impressed with her. Insipid.

Although I enjoyed the book, Little Women, I found Meg, the oldest of the March sisters, rather boring. Of course, Jo was my absolute favorite.

I'd have to nominate Sherlock Holmes. Always too polished and sophisticated - and ALWAYS condesceningly right. Treated Watson badly. Bleaugh!

Not to mention a cocaine addict!

- Bella Swan/Sparkly Mopey Dude and Anastasia Steele/Christian Grey. But I think that is a given ;)
- James Bond. At least from a woman's point of view; Poor version of the British Classy Gentleman type, perfect at everything macho super man violence galore, "real men don't need instruction or knowledge", hyper sex or sex for sport and misogynistic. Unless you are fighting him, probably wouldn't have much to offer otherwise. And I have grown up watching his old movies with my dad and he also used to read all the books, so have a nostalgic soft spot for the whole entertaining action side to it. But yeah, wouldn't want to meet him or hang out with him! Wouldn't take me too seriously in more ways than one.
- Most of The Friends characters. There is chemistry among themselves of course, but considering the things they care about most or find dull, we wouldn't get along wonderfully. Maybe Phoebe would be the exception.

No doubt there are others but first came to mind.

Navin R. Johnson from The Jerk. I love the movie, but he's so dimwitted that I don't think I could hold a conversation with him.

The beautiful but impoverished Miss Jane Bennet in Pride and Prejudice who never, ever does anything wrong or lets a cross word pass her lips.

Kylo Ren which I'm sure is going to be an unusual answer but oh god he's so EMO and awful. I think he's just tedious. I hope his character grows up a little bit in future movies because the way he is written now he is more like Eeyore from Winnie-the-Poo than a Dark Jedi.

The character, not the actor, but the teacher in Ferris Bueller.

Eeyore. I grew up with Winnie the Pooh books and back then I thought he was very, very dull. Now that he's become a movie star, things haven't changed.

I'll second that Eyore thing. I lived upstairs from a human Eyore, she even looked like him...same build, same expression on her face. I went WAY out of my way to avoid her.
