Went to see Kirby tonight. We got like a foot of snow and they hadn't cleared the roads well. Parked in the clearest spot we could find, which wasn't that clear and we were having trouble getting the car out. The local news anchor and his boyfriend live in an apartment across from the jail. I guess they heard our car struggling to get out of the spot and came out and pushed it while John was pushing on the gas and got us out. Awfully nice of them.

Yes, and I believe I have a Mandela memory.
I clearly remember Christopher Lloyd dying. I remember there being a big deal about it. That people were saying that now there can never be another Back to the Future. A friend of mine remembers this also.
Yet...he's still alive.

Okay, because anyone at all remember there being 52 states? I was so shocked last night to learn that there are only 50. And I swear I learned about there being 51 first and then another was added after. I even remember the news talking about it once. My best friend also remembers learning about 52 states in school.

Were you counting Puerto Rico and another territory, maybe?

Are you saying that Back To The Future was never redone?

Katie M Katie M - I'm not sure but it tripped me up because I've always believed there to be 52 and just accepted it. I was young at the time, not awfully young but still young. It's just the feeling you get when a memory you thought to be true is challenged.

At least my son and his girlfriend are having fun. I told them that if they were going to scrape snow, they should have done it behind the cars so we could get out.

That's one creepy snowman. Even creepier in person.

Congrats KATIE, well done!!!!

I work for SOCIAL SECURITY, the 800# and when people do not see you face to face you would not believe how people treat me over the phone! If they do not like my answer they call me EVERY NAME IN THE BOOK!!! I've been told I'm ignorant, which is the least nasty thing I've been called!! I have been screamed at when folks do not know their ss#, their address, their mother is dead-so mothers maiden name is not needed??? Or they are paranoid and refuse to provide their social security number!?!? But they want answers, it is enough to make you wonder what people are thinking..I am there to help and folks expect me to release details without any verification of WHO THEY ARE!!!!

People are just rude over the phone. Period. I used to work for a call center. I wasn't selling anything. I conducted surveys. Most of the time, I worked on an Enterprise survey. The survey was basically telling them my name and who I was calling on behalf of, asking permission to ask 2-3 questions, and then, "Were you satisfied? Would you use Enterprise again?" If they were dissatisfied, I offered to have someone from Enterprise call them back to resolve their problems. It would take 30 seconds from start to finish if they would just answer my questions. I was called every name in the book and they expected me to fix their problems! Um, I don't work for Enterprise. I have no power to do anything for you. That's why I offering you the call. And I didn't even ask for any kind of personal information. Just asked them to verify their names. May I speak to "Rudy Mcruderson?" Just say, "that's me" and we'll get on with it. That job destroyed my faith in humanity.

Wow, okay. Well, this one scared me for real. Not that the other ones didn't, I could have sworn there was a cornucopia. Anyway, I'll stop now.
Do you have to change your signature every day to show Felix's age? What if you forget? Does he not get older? ;)

I was recently hit on at the library by *I think* a homeless guy. He told me I had a pretty face, then started asking me repeatedly "What am I going to do?" He was definitely drunk.

I pretended I needed to make a call and left.

My quote button is not working.

It means you are their sweetheart. It also implies that you have taken that pet name by them.

Thanks for the info KASHMIR64! I hoped it didn't mean anything bad but several times I've been called that and sweetheart, angel, love, but the mixture of names I will refrain from Using!
Another thought, My personalities of my felines strikes me so different. KNOCK on the door and MOUSE is invisible!! MAX runs to the door and being a "social butterfly" is immediately in company's arms or laps!!! He saw a child, a 10yr old boy...and they played for hours!! Dominic, the boy had never seen or played up close with a cat too! MAX loves "little humans" it seems!!! I took pictures so he could have pictures with his new friend, so precious!!

This year SUCKS. First, was the water issue. Now it's heat. I'm certain it's the thermostat. The heater fan comes on and we just got propaine, but the thermostat is not telling the heater to kick on. I have to go to the neighboring town tomorrow, so I'll just take the thing to Home Depot and have them find me a compatible one, since I don't know how to re-wire it. We currently have 8" of snow on the ground..it's going to get cold tonight. Man I hope the pipes under the house don't freeze....that would just be the kicker.
Good thing I sleep with lots of animals who are warm.

Saw an empty car seat and my heart skipped a beat and then I was like, "Oh . . . yeah . . . never mind."
Oh, I'm not really beating myself up about it. I think it's kinda funny. Better to forget that he's not in the car than to forget that he is.
Absolutely. It is far worse to drive off with the baby seat on top of the car. Which really has happened. More than once.

Alicia88 Alicia88 , it seems like 6-7 months ago you told us you were pregnant. Are you sure he's 1 today. Wow
Give him a hug for me.
NO DOUBT! Time is flying, and it has jet engines!

I am full of the itis.
I won't even tell you what I first read that as, but I hope you feel MUCH better soon!

Do you listen to that 'relaxing' music sometimes to fall asleep? You know, the ones with whales/birds/rain/chirping crickets and other sounds in the background of soft synthetic music.
You're in bed, nice and warm and cozy, with a dog under the blanket against your back, a cat under the blanket against your tummy and another cat on top of the blankets on your legs. Then the rain segment comes on, and you think "Thanks, now I have to pee".
OH GOD YES!

And the cat is not overly forgiving.

I used to work for AT&T's Global Sales and Service Department. We handled calls when people made overseas calls without a plan, and then pooped little green squeally worms when they got the bills. I've been called every name in the book in languages most people don't even know exist! I did, however, get a very nice card and fruit basket from a VERY well-know actress after I was able to adjust her bill (one time only) and get her on a plan. Kinda freaked me out that she was able to track me down like that, though.

Warm animals are always the best for cuddling!
My friend Natalie's baby is sick. She's 4 and a half month old. Vomiting and, oddly enough, a low temp. Lowest was 97.2. Husband has the low temp, too. Took her to the pediatrician today. They said it's a virus and to keep her wrapped in warm blankets from the dryer and give her some pedialyte (because she's a little dehydrated) but she's breastfed and won't take it from a bottle and fights a syringe. Poor kid. It's so scary when they're even a little sick because it can turn serious so fast and they can't tell you how they're feeling. Prayers and good vibes would be appreciated.
